I am so envious that you can have access to so many cool books in your local library! I live in Italy and the italian book press for paganism/witchcraft is definitely smaller per se, and no libraries would carry pagan books except for the random scott cunningham book if you are incredibly lucky :(

I'm getting annoyed of people not taking mental illness into account. I feel like my Dad's going to die, our dog's going to die, I'm going to die and such because of anxiety and then there's the "What if I'm wrong" game after I say to myself "No, nothings going to happen."

And when though panic thoughts are right 🫠 4 years and I STILL second guess gut instinct/intuition with anxiety that’s just a broken clock - it’s right twice a day 🙃

Right? Like I can see for a good number of disclaimers (like oils, teas, and so on) but scrying….? Also to further add, the next book from this author is super dismissive of consent 🙃 like if you’re mentally ill, don’t look into the clouds, but if you want to cast a spell on others it’s just fine cuz consent doesn’t matter if you add “harm none” at the end

Yeeeaah, we have a few titles: Hellenic, Hellenistic, Hellenism, Hellenismos...I do believe they mean the same thing. I do love revivalist but I also like modern day practices. I am SO glad that I did not read Percy Jackson, I only watched the movies. I think it would have hindered me especially since Poseidon is my main God. I do not have any of these books but these books are pretty standard in learning about Hellenism: ● Hellenismos: Practicing Greek Polytheism Today by Tony Mierzwicki ● Hellenic Polytheism : Household Worship by Christos Pandion Panopoulos ● Kharis: Hellenic Polytheism Explored by Sarah Kate Istra Winter

@@NightWillowCrafts lol yeah I get that about stumbling on the first name then giving up on the rest 😂 oof I couldn't do that lol our summer rains cause more humidity when it's already predicted to be above 100° also during this time dirt is easier to pick up (that's why most dust devils and dust storms happen during this time) so our air/rain smells like dirt and that can cause coughing for me.

It varies deck to deck. Most books will only cover a brief bit on the imagery from the Rider Waite deck, for the specifics of each card it’s usually best to refer to the guidebook that comes with your deck. The author will put in the symbolism. However, there can be some points left to personal interpretation

I'm tired of people eco shaming. I found a KZbinr that talks about overconsumption and in this video she was reacting to r/overconsumption and she added in a post about disability and overconsumption and how the person was feeling guilty. I loved that she added this post because it doesn't get talked about a lot. Under her video I talked about how especially when my Mom was alive we were using a lot of plastic do to health care products like oxygen hoses for example. If you're disabled you're going to use more plastic and that's ok. Us everyday people can try our best but it's really the huge corporations that need to change. I'm also getting tired of privileged people writing books in our community. I love your reply like duh of course it comes from the earth 😂🤣 I would have thought "No sh*t Sherlock" 😂🤣

Truly like sure, maybe the author isn’t talking to those that are trying, but also there is no nuance. Like pretty much every item we eat has plastic, so are we just supposed to eat what we can grow…? Cuz that isn’t realistic. It’s just such a slippery slope. We need to put pressure on those that will actually make a difference-like the recycling places that actually don’t do shit 🤷🏻‍♀️ Right?! I’m so tired of that argument. Like bro, there’s nothing we’re sourcing from other planets…. That evil plastic? Yup. Came from the earth 🙄

Catholic folk witch here, it’s not really uncommon for there to be Christina witches and some closed practices like Voodoo and Hoodoo do take elements of that religion to their practice. That being said, my issue with them using Christianity is they’re mashing it with different dieties and closed religions out there. Now, being polytheistic isn’t an issue since there’s a lot of ChristoPagans or those that take elements of paganism and Christianity to their practice. My issue is that not every witch follows the same religion so including that would make those who had religious trauma with Christianity uncomfortable. We literally have books for Christian witchcraft, so including that feels unnecessary. Also not every witch follows paganism either, it should had been for standards spells that are open or include history of witchcraft with credible sources. (Hell, the Christian witchcraft book I have did this and even states some practices are closed and to be careful with spiritual psychosis. So if that book can include sources and citation, I see no excuse this book shouldn’t too) But also, like you, my dislike for this book is mainly the cultural appropriation since that’s going to put MANY baby witches in danger. Witch tokers I follow had reviewed this book and talked about how it’s got so many of that stuff, but I’m not aware of the other creepy assault aspects of this. Thank you for making this video, and it’s scary that people actually just eat up shit in witchcraft books that don’t even credit sources of their information. And your right, this is the stereotype evangelicals would make about witches. I think people need to be wary of any witchcraft book since most of the time it’s Wiccan or new age based. This whole book screams Gerald Gardner and Alistar Crowley and I just cannot with those two for ruining witchcraft for others.
