Witchcraft for February || The Rites Rituals and Traditions || A Witch's Almanac

Everything you need to know to practice your Witchcraft in February as well as a smattering of occult happenings, tidbit teaching and cultural practices. My witch's almanac will take you through all the rites rituals and traditions that you can follow for this month which marks the beginning of spring with the sabbat of Imbolc. So let me show you what witchcraft you can do, when and why for each day of February As always there is plenty to do, no month is a dead month and following the seasons is a part of every witch's craft. This month is for me a juxtaposing month as it starts horribly with the cold and dark and ends with flowers and light.

My 11yr old had his 25th heart surgery yesterday! On parking at a city hospital, we were greeted by a beautiful Robin singing their heart out! We then knew the surgery was going to be successful! It was! Imbolc was my Mums birthday, we will be honouring her & celebrating life!

I am a Pisces! My husband did pass away several years ago, and I've had 3 eye surgeries in my lifetime. I was once a great drinker, too, but not anymore. I suffered needlessly with shame for several years because of this drinking, but it doesn't plague me today. And of course I have a lovely sense of humor -- i dont think id be here today without it! ❤

Pisces here. My husband left me (for his secretary), but I now have a better man as my fiancé. I can drink like a fish and stay sober, but I rarely drink. No problems with my eyes (yet), but I do love to travel. I try to be kind and respectful of others. I think the Almanac sounds pretty accurate 🤗

Love your videos! Traditional Chinese New Year rituals also include House Cleaning, decluttering and Body cleaning with Pomelo Water (Pomelo leaves simmered) in water and Worshipping Gods for Good Health, Happiness and Prosperity. Fireworks (bangers) scare away evil spirits. Like you I declutter continuously by recycling, donating or giving away unwanted items .... I still have a cauldron I haven't used but I will never let it go 🧨🧨🧨

Always looking forward to your montley almanac videos. Living in Norway, we are a bit behind when it comes to spring. In our old tradition on 2 nd of Februar we only have got half of the snow for the winter. A twig falling on the snow this day, will be in the middle om the snow as it starts to thaw. The first day of spring is on 22 nd. Then the snow starts to thaw around stones, and the snow thaws from both ends, bottom and top. There are lots of old wether divinations on several days in February. As the old religions was different here, we don't have any traditions connected to Brigid. But as we have Alvablot in autumn, perhaps at the the time of Shamhain, and Disablot was in spring I would guess Disablot was what we were celebrating at this time of year. Alvablot is for honouring our male ancectors, and Disablot for our female ancestors.

Interestingly Nowruz,is the first day of the Persian (Iranian) SOLAR YEAR celebrated on Farvardin 1. It marks the start of the Iranian New Year and is one of the oldest festivals from ancient Persia. Nowruz's timing is based on the vernal equinox. In Iran, it is the day of the new year in the Solar Hijri algorithmic calendar, which is based on precise astronomical observations. This year it will occur on Thursday, March 20, 2025, 12:31 PM

The cross is Saint Bridget's Cross - the christian cross of the crucifixion. The "cross" of the Goddess was the trinity ie 3, the sacred number of Ireland. The 3 is found everywhere in Irish lore. Bridget, daughter of the Dagda, the triple Goddess. The 3 ancient female names for Ireland: Éire - Banba - Fódla. 3 Druids (male or female) for the 3 crafts: (1) Music (2) Science: ie divination, incantations, charms, curses etc (3) Literature / Bardic lore / Brehon Law / Poetry. There was 3 types of music in ancient Ireland: In Irish Gaelic (1) Gen-traige (gan-tree) inciting laughter, merriment, dance, fun. (2) Gol-traige (gol-tree) expressing sorrow, keening or death tunes, lament. (3) Súan-traigh (suan-tree) lullabies, nursing a child, or a sick person, soothing, to induce sleep. There are many more ............ The Druids did good things of course, but when they wishes to cause harm or serious injury, they would summon the Siabhradh (pronounced: Sheevra) of the sídhe (shee: the fairies) to carry out their intent - while they remained distant .... aloof. The Siabhradh were dangerous, malignant entities. In revenge for King Cormac Mac Art's leaning towards christianity for example, the Druids let loose sheevras against him, who then choked him with the bone of a salmon, while eating his dinner.

i live in new york city and a colony of pigeons lives outside my window so ill almost definitely see a pigeon first thing on february 14th 😂 very little chance of anything else. possibly a sparrow. im gonna say the pigeons are basically just doves.
