About the pendulum - I don't think it's an amethyst, it's too round on the edges to be a crystal. Then again, it could be worked that way, but acrylic or even resin has a certain roundness to it. If it's cold to the touch, it's a stone or a crystal. If not - it's not. Hope I helped a bit!

But "fake" crystal pendants (btw, in this specific box it didn't say it was crystal pendulum, from what I recall), can have either a certain foggyness to them, or either be too clear. Crystals, be it in pendant or other form - even rolled and workd - can have cracks and certain rough qualities to it. For example, raw amethyst or clear quartz, even rose quartz have a clear quality to it, and to it we can see cracks within the stone or gem.

Aww, this is amazing! I agree, this is a really good gift idea for someone just starting out, for the holidays, or to treat oneself when starting out. My favorites are the rune stamps, and the cauldron candle holder, so cool! Maybe someday I will treat myself to this, purple is one of my favorite colors, and this would be a wonderful addition to any witch's altar. That box is also awesome as well, I would use that to hold so many things, maybe essential oil bottles, maybe make it an enchanted jewelry box, maybe use it for a travel altar, the possibilities are endless.

I love the box. When do we have to many journals to write in and the cauldron oil burner is nice. Experienced or new this is a fun gift. I enjoyed all the purple in the journal, cloth and ruins bag and you can put in the box and take with you🥰

I thought I was going to like this. It kept coming straight up to the she of awesome and then missing the mark at the last second. The crystal looked fake. Why wasn't there a pendulum board on the alter cloth? The cauldron could have been real instead of just an incense burner. And why was there no ink pad for the rune stamps?? Love the rune bag. Love the journal.

Personally, I don't think it would really be worth it for me cuz I would not use the stamps and I don't even really like The Cauldron thing and I can't burn candles I have to have fake candles because I have a stupid cat that wants to try eating the candle the only thing I would really use is the bag and the Box maybe the journal but that's a long shot. I appreciate your review for this cuz if I would have bought it myself I would have been upset

I study witchcraft and I'm a part of the community I would say but I never not once believed in a pendulum cuz even you can see your hands shaking and with me with my severe anxiety I would shake so much that it wouldn't be true. Along with dowsing rods I could never believe in them cuz whenever I see anyone do them they move them so fast afterwards that you can't even get an actual answer also I again have really bad anxiety so I can't use them

I'm sure the intention was not to teach 'real craft' but to create a novelty gift. Spencer's is a gift shop after all. Although the stone is probably fake and the runes are stamps, I think they accomplished the novelty gift objective. The box, cloth, tea light kettle, and journal are well worth the price.

Who can say what is "real craft"? I mean, everybody has different likes and ways to practice. I think this is a good treat for begginer witches. The journal , the cauldron burner, the altar cloth and the box itself are great for someone who is getting into the craft, and then they can go further
