No such thing as "cheating" in the kind of fight they were in. Caranthir can teleport, Eskel and Geralt can use signs. You think if Eskel had managed to use aard to knock Caranthir's staff out of his hands (Like Vesemir did to Imlerith), he would have claimed it wasn't fair? No, both sides did everything they could to win. The only "honorable" thing about the fight was Caranthir having his warriors stay out of it, who is ironically the one you are accusing of cheating. Plain and simple, Caranthir would've wrecked Geralt if his staff had been intact. Nothing fair about it, that's just how it would have been.

Killer Kuerbis It's just my opinion, but I think they share a few characterisics. Unlike Imrelith or Eredin, we never see his face and I happen to think his helmet looks a lot like Boba's. In the entire battle of Caer Morhen, he doesn't say a word. In the final moment, he's the only one to keep his cool and drags Eredin into safety. A thing I always imagined about Boba, is that he's constantly on guard. There is also something about the way he moves, that reminds of Fett. Never in a hurry, but always first to react. Seemingly slow, walks as if every step tired him, but in his fight with Eskel he shows all his speed and ferocity. Now when I think about it, that's actually more like Bane from Dark Knight Rises. In summary, Caranthir is a a guy we never know much about, a silent badass, always ready and vigilant, the one you should worry about, because he's got no obvious weakness.

I never noticed until this part of the game that the Wild Hunt's Head Navigator has a sextant, a real-life navigation tool, hanging from his hip. It's a cool detail, but the dude teleports between dimensions using magic and by all accounts seems able to do so with little to no effort. So the real question is does he ever use it or does he just have it because he thinks it looks cool.

Bindair Dundat I thought it was pretty bullshit that Geralt got to kill both Caranthir and Eredin. Eredin, I understand, but it would've been 10x more interesting if we got a full fight to the death between Ciri and Caranthir. Caranthir was a failed Ciri clone that would be understandably angry about that. It would've been amazing to see them fight for longer, and eventually have Ciri beat him.

A modern soldier's equipment actually weighs more than full plate harness; 50-60 lbs for the knight, 60-65 lbs for the soldier, not including weapons. There would be a serious danger of exhaustion and drowning, but someone who had the proper conditioning could pull it off for a short distance without a strong current. That is unless we're talking jousting armor, which could weight over 90 lbs because the knight would never have to wear it on foot. That metal can would make you sink like a brick. However, this isn't jousting armor. It's only three/quarter plate (no leg armor). So it's not so bad.

Its strange watching other people play as Geralt and fight differently than me. I was all speed and power, used fast attacks, cat school armor; light armor, never used Quen, always pumped everything into damage output and just avoided getting hit. My Geralt could only withstand a few hits before dying, so I relied on never getting hit. Replayed the game 5-6 times now and always ended up playing this route. It made fights feel more rewarding. You had to be good or you died. Occasinally I'd put some skills into signs and drop them during fights, but not normally. Watching other people play the tank style combat, heavy slow attacks, absorbing hits and using quen, its strange to me lol.

He still managed to stand after Ciri broke his staff and weakened him. In his weakened state, he still put Geralt into a tough fight, and before his death, he almost killed Geralt by teleporting himself along with Geralt into water before Geralt broke free.. That's some badassery that deserve a lot of credits..

Wish they had scaled the powers of Caranthir, Imlerith and Eredin to higher degrees. All of them were considerably easy to beat thinking the overall boss fights in the game. I had a much tougher time to deal with Dettlaff in BW and Olgierd in HS than these. I'm saying this as an owner of "Walked the Path" achievement. Probably, the game let me to level up much more than expected before continuing with the main quest and confronting these bosses. Nevertheless, these are really charismatic characters and I really enjoyed every bit of their screen time.

Swords can’t cut through plate armour, and it’s very difficult to pierce as well. Swinging a sword harder would probably break the sword more than the armour. Historically, swordsmen targeted weak spots in the armour-like the underarms.

When Caranthir teleported Geralt to the bottom of the lake he was wearing full plate armor and wouldn't be able to swim back up due to its weight, so technically, if we're playing fair, no one wins :)

I just had this boss stand there doing nothing as I slashed at him. What a chad he was.

My game had a bug...when I had to face him...he did nothing and just kept standing....and when I hit him with sword his Health would decrease...it was so boring....he defeated so easily 😭

Bro you have good gear but I think, that dropping FPS in that video ( noticable in battle between ciri & caranthir in 0:33 ) is beacuse you rendered it in some wrong version of eg. vegas pro (like vegas pro 13) I noticed that vegas pro 16 have ANY problems with rendering videos, always this is 60fps!!! But unfortunately veg13 do not respect us :D

i hope he's more stronger. i hate when people talking about the wild hunt is like "Wild Hunt No. no no" but the attack need more pattern or something more cool. like dropping ice meteor or something.

Throwing the igni on him will burn the ice and increase more damage when you attack, I didn’t see this guy using that method...
