Witcher 3 Next Gen (PC 2023) - Mod Showcase

Decided to revisit the classic after a hiatus since 2019, and now that the Next Gen release seems to have most of the bugs and glitches addressed. I can't run Ray Tracing (well, I can but the performance hit isn't worth it), so what you're seeing is DLSS on Quality with everything set to Ultra + except for NPC population which is Ultra (not Ultra +).
The Witcher 3 v. 4.03 on Dx12.

It is - I used either dyes I picked up in the Blood and Wine DLC, or (most likely) made the dye after finding the recipe there.

Hey may i ask how did you use the Netflix half tail mod. I put in my mods folder but i couldn't see it. Thought it replaced the normal loose and tied back hair but it didn't. Also i an using the new hairstyle and beard dlc (only hairstyle though) tried removing it but then can't load the save

Obvious question - did you unzip the file first? I'm guessing so...I'd check your main Witcher 3 folder and see if it didn't end up there by accident. This is happened to me several times (user error). The Netflix hail tail does indeed replace loose and tied back hair (1st option at the barber's). In your mod folder, the file should appear as modNetflixCavillHairStyle. I'm not sure what to tell you about the new hairstyle and beard dlc - is it compatible with the version you're using? If nothing else, try validating your game files.

@@majorgruber5925 i used the mod manager for it since it was just a copy paste of mod folder but it didn't work. As for the beard and hair dlc yes it works perfectly with the latest version of the game. Only problem is that i saved the game using it many times so now ig i can't remove it

@@akushiart6932 Yes, I've read many times certain mods just don't work with any of the mod managers. I'd manually drop the Netflix hair into your mod folder. I'm pretty sure it'll work fine then. I do all my mod installs manually for Witcher 3 as CDPR makes it pretty easy to do.

@@majorgruber5925 i used to do manually until a few weeks ago when i downloaded this cuz friendly meditation and stuff were just not working for me manually. Since then I'm just using this cuz it's quicker than opening 7-8 folders to reach the mod folder of the game XD. Also i tried doing it manually but it didn't work either. Neither this nor the Viking braids. They don't give any errors but they just don't show up. It shows the regular hairstyle instead. In case of halftail mod the hair band shifts above the ponytail but the overall look of the hairstyle remains the same as vanilla

@@akushiart6932 OK, I finally looked at that New Hairstyles and Beards For Geralt (DLC2 Improved) mod. Yes, once installed, any saves you make after will require that mod to be in place. Did you delete the original DLC2 folder before installing the new DLC2 from the mod? This is a hard requirement, and might be the source of your problem. The Netflix hair mod SHOULD work, as it's replacing an original hair. You'll need to give the Netflix hair priority over the New Hairstyles and Beard, either by changing the Netflix one's name in your mod folder (from modNetflixCavillHairStyle to mod000NetflixCavillHairStyle) in your mod folder, or give it priority in your mods.settings file, or by giving it priority with WitcherScriptMerger. I had to use Script Merger to make several of them work together. Forgot to add that in the description, but have fixed that now. Cheers.

Still running 4.03 as there are a couple of "must have mods" haven't been updated to 4.04 yet. You want me to do a tutorial up on 4.03, or wait until I update to 4.04?
