Well if you like reading books at least you could read the books and see if you find Ciri likeable or not. For the most part she's a child here. She's overconfident and bratty, but also witty and brave. At least that's where she as a noble heir to the throne of Cintra starts as. She grows darker as her story progresses. She is an interessting character. I would call her charismatic and fun. She is besides geralt the main protagonist of the books. Your comment reads like a parody - its that stupid. @@IsomerSoma I like Ciri, she's a great character. If they'd made witcher 4 a 'create your own witcher' I would've created Ciri. She deserves her own game. I just wish they'd done a spin-off instead where they'd explored her unique (Lady of Time and Space) abilities like time travel - maybe hop into Night City for a spell and so on... But anyway, we know DEI (which is just racism and sexism by another name) has infested pretty much every AAA gaming studio (and most workplaces). And instead of fun games we get to enjoy clumsy propaganda and called get maladapted children for objecting. Uglifying established characters is one of the hallmarks of the 'woke' infestation. we didnt see any dei in the trailer. all of the people in the village were slavic eastern europeans but cdproject red as a company did embrace dei and esg. also Cian Maher who is the franchise and lore designer of the witcher 4 has defended the changes that the netflix show made in the past and doesnt believe that henry left because netflix didnt follow the source material but instead thinks henry left because he wanted to work on superman. he also thinks that rings of power was good lol. yikes.

The only thing i agree with you on is that the netflix show is terrible and the comments made by Cian Maher are worrying - some of them are ridicolous, but he also contradicts himself so maybe he just wanted to be polite towards the netflix team. These comments by him however dont concern because of "DEI" but BAD judgement on fiction. However in case you havent read the books yourself, which is likely the case that you havent, be a bit more hestiant in pretending to know what CDPR is doing is "DEI". Ciri and Geralt are both the main protagonists of the novels. Ciri in the books is bold, brave, aggressive, at time even violent and absolutely not a soft princess character; in fact she despises that this is what many expect of her to be like. She is also bisexual by source material and even explicit comments by Sapkowski. And i know that the "antiwoke" crowd will lose their shit over her character as they hate anything not conforming to their conservative ideals of what a woman has to be. Ciri definitely subverts such gender role expectations, but she always has since sword of destiny.

I read the first 2 books only but read up on the lore of the universe and characters and I'm not saying the witcher 4 is influenced by dei/ESG because I only have the trailer to go by which by the looks of it looks fine to me except for the fact that ciri is a full blown witcher and wonder how they're going to explain that in a way that's true to the source material. What I'm saying is that cdpr is involved in dei hiring practices and have fully embraced dei/ESG as a company. And even though I love tw3 and it's in my top 3 games I've ever played I wasn't happy with how handsome they made geralt and how much of a bitch they turned yennefer into, they made triss way more likable even though she's the one that supposed to be the manipulative cunt. Yen genuinely loves geralt and ciri.

Agreed Most people don't mind that ciri is the new protagonist and honestly she fits perfectly imo because I always thought she should carry the mantle especially as she wanted to be a Witcher and now my favourite ending in the W3 is canon it makes sense Yeah they've got a lot of explanation to do on how ciri passed the trial of grasses and some stuff but from the trailer it looks good and even though CDPR unfortunately are balls deep in ESG hopefully they can pull of it
