I went with my coven to see Practical Magic when it hit the theaters and when Sally said "There is no devil in the Craft." we weren't the only witches clapping in there. :)

I love Practical Magic because it feels so good to watch, and not even in a guilty pleasure way because its so damn good! It literally feels like a gorgeous fall day, snuggling up in your fave chair with a cuppa. Its the perfect sister/friend movie, but Its also perfectly honest about not only about witchcraft, but also being a woman, and sisterhood, and finding the magic in all of us and in every situation. Its honestly a delight, wherever you fall on the witchy spectrum.

I honestly think to this day that Practical magic is one of the only films that 100% hits the nail on the head when it comes to an accurate portrayal of Witchcraft. I love this movie, and love it even more now that I am a Witch myself. Also, I want that house.

Though I'm an atheist, there are times when I wonder about pagan faiths. I've always been drawn to the mysticism of pagan faiths, not so much for the deities but how welcoming and diverse they are. Practical Magic is one of my all time favorite movies and makes me want to buy a Victorian House and become a witch with my own greenhouse. :)

We are planning on doing that series too, but the Hallmark channel won't let any streaming services stream the Good Witch movies and they cost a ton to rent on amazon. I don't want to pay the same for a 10 year old Hallmark movie as I would to rent a brand new movie so it might be a while.

This is by far the best depiction of witches in media, the humanity and downplay of sensationalizing the magic is (as much as possible for a movie) I have to admit a love for any witch representation, tho I do get tired of the "pew pew im shooting lightning". I'm also a huge fan of the Craft and Bell, Book and Candle and even I Married a Witch. I am disappointed tho with the obvious lack of male witch representation. We exist. Don't have to be tecnter for the film, but a presence would be welcome.

Oh my stars I just adore the two of you! (and these reviews! (: Charmed =magically delicious! The reboot or "charmless" as I like to call it is mundanely mediocre) ✨🖤💜✨ Words cannot express how much I love Practical Magic and I completely agree with everything that the both of you said! )and from now on I will refer to it as not just a cult classic but an occult classic to those who would appreciate it 😂👍) your knowledge about walking into a store and seeing how you it is and how much you feel like you belong there is exactly how I felt and still feel when I watch this movie. It is excellent representation and I agree it is probably the closest 2 actual witchcraft still seen in movies. I only wish you could have mentioned the soundtrack which helps further this movie and gives it ( even more ) atmosphere beautifully. The Stevie Nicks songs and music lend to the film seamlessly and gives it an extra little bit of Magic ✨ can't wait to order a book from you someday, and get and read one of your originals. Keep up the good work you two are champions of the cause! Blessed be ✨🌙

I don't really practice but my beliefs I was taught comes from pagan belief and even beccause of that kids thought I was weird and that I dressed in black and had long black hair because I was bad. It was strange because I never claimed to be a witch or anything 😂. Really it was because my mom has a tradition we don't cut our hair till we are 13 and black doesn't show dirt because I was a scrappy kid. Less grass stains.

did you know that the Practical Magic house wasn't real? none of it. it was all built and destroyed when filming wrapped. the exterior was literally a shell of a house. there was nothing inside. they built and filmed the interior shots on a separate set. ...I cannot believe they destroyed that house. I guess people even offered to buy it and finish the inside, but nope. they destroyed it. 😭💔 ps. another fun fact. the production designers are now the huge celebrity (husband and wife) interior designer team, Roman and Williams. if you watch their home tour on Quintessence, you'll notice they kept some of the kitchen cabinetry from the Practical Magic kitchen. you're welcome. 😊✨🍃🌙🔮🎩
