So sad that he passed on. When I first saw decapitated, he set up the entire set by himself, did a sound check on all instruments, then (me thinking he's a roady), sat down and fucking slayed the show. He then tore the whole stage down nearly single handedly, and next thing you know he was in the crowd with a beer like a normal fan. RIP.

I met him at the house of blues in Hollywood for summer slaughter tour in 2007 i think. One of the nicest and most genuine dudes you could meet. Full of energy. I met Vogg some years later after his brother's death when he was touring with Vader. Just as cool. I couldn't find the words to bring up his brother so we just talked about amp sounds and our guitars coz my band was the opening act... such a sad thing to lose someone, a friend, brother, a son, a father and husband so young 😢

Epic man! My first time seeing Decapitated was after he passed but Vogg comes out of the darkness and starts chatting me and my bro up while we waited for the first band. Still can't believe I met and hugged him... we like to think of them as gods for their amazing talent, but they are no different from any other struggler who contends and endures. Thanks for sharing that.

Hell ya I love how they could take one note and make it sounds so amazing and trance like one song that comes to mind post organic twords the end of the song when vogg just attacks that one note over and over dah dah dah dah dah dah dah dahdahdahdant dah dah dah dah dah so simple but so amazing 4:09 to 4:30 if you want to make sence of my crazy example of how they had the most amazing ability to capture your attention to the point where you be stuck and so hooked on the same riff to the point where I would end up listening to the song over and over again just mesmerized by it. I will never forget when I saw them in Philly and I got all the way to the front and was merely inchs away from vogg playing that song and how happy I was to finally get to see with my own eyes one of my favorite metal guitarists play one of those trance riff right before me I'll never forget it I did end up grabbing the guitar during him playing witch pisses him off a little bit I believe but I am a total groupie I didn't want to wash my hand ever again after that haha but anyways vogg and vitek are legends vogga hypnotic riffs and viteks almost impossible to play drums made decapitated by far one of the best death metal bands of all time my favorite by far RIP VITEK

why can't more metal drummers now a adays take a page from this mans book and learn some technique. Look at how loose he is and he is ripping. The rigor mortis some of these wanna metal dudes go into when they play not only looks awful they can't harness they power of momentum because their bodies are working against gravity and physics. Witek man they definitely broke the mold. Rest In Metal Driven Peace brother we all miss you.
