5x03 is such a banger from start to finish. From the tainted meat intro, to Gabriel’s confession and Abe v Rick (almost), and the church slaughter…10/10!

Funny that you mentioned Glenn, I do agree that after season 2 he lost a bit of luster in season 3 and ESPECIALLY season 4 (since he barely does anything besides be sick and search for Maggie 😅), but I actually think this season and season 6 are what keep him in my top 10, personally. The storylines he has in this season coupled with him starting to take over Hershel’s role as the moral compass actually make this tied with season 2 as my favorite season for Glenn, maybe you’ll end up feeling the same soon 👀

I can kinda see what you guys are saying about Bob, but I think he works pretty well because he’s such an average, likeable guy. He doesn’t have too deep of a character arc during his time as a main character, but it’s nice to see he started off alone then passed on while surrounded by people who came to care about him, plus he had the false hope that Eugene had a cure ready to save the world (unfortunate it wasnt true 😅). His words, “Nightmares end, but they don’t have to end who you are.” will be remembered!

Comic Comparisons: As I said before in the comics it’s Dale whose leg gets chomped by the cannibals It’s worse for Dale because his other leg had already been lost (where Hershel gets his leg amputated after being bitten in the show happens to Dale in the comics) So now he’s missing both his legs The rest happens the same Dale reveals he was bitten and screams tainted meat just like Bob. However the scene where the group takes their revenge goes differently in the comics They don’t lure them to the church and ambush them there (they do stay in Father Gabriel’s church) But the killing doesn’t happen there However Rick does say the line they’re fucking with the wrong people instead the group actually tracks them down in the woods and meets them It’s there when they kill them in the same fashion as the show brutally and as bloody as possible.

The Hospital episodes…yeah unfortunately in terms of half season storylines this is the show’s first BIG miss imo, not a good thing considering that this is one of the show’s first big plotlines that is completely original to the show and not at all from the comics 💀 The thing that really makes it sting is the way this arc ends, it just…really makes the whole thing feel pointless after giving Beth time to grow
