The Nigerian government is a very useless government. Instead of finding workable economic strategies to fix the ailing economy, and better the lives of innocent suffering Nigerians the national Anthem is now a subject. What has the national Anthem, old or new got to do with the survival of a society? The Nigerian government is seriously sick. This is nothing short of Distraction of the Attention of Nigerians from reality. A society will conveniently pay allegiance to the Flag, or the Anthem only if they have a responsible, and responsive government. God will judge the Nigerian government in his wrath.

What i find even more incredible than going back to the old anthem is the fact that till date no one has been able to tell us what is wrong with the other one. Why are we having this change? It was needless in the first place changing the old one in the 70s and it is even more completely unnecessary changing the new one now, which I believe is one of the finest anthems the world over. When will we ever have self believe and pride in ourselves as a people? Who are we trying to impress?

Obasanjo was the Head of state who changed the colonial national anthem to the one composed by a Nigerian. So he is on a vindictive move to obliterate all Obasanjo did,since OB is very vocal against his administration. Tinube just rewarded Wole Soyinka by naming a road in Abuja to his name.

They won't stop rubbing it on our faces that they have taken us back to slavery (slavery number 2, that's orchestrated by bad leadership) What's the need for reverting to an old National Anthem that was written and composed by expatriates without any inputs from a single Nigerian. Is it this one that has more impactful words and prayers than the one we have been singing for almost 5 decades. Or is it reverting to old anthem that will put food on our tables or stop all this kidnapping that are so rampant now in Nigeria, especially in Abuja the capital city of Nigeria, where kidnappers are now entering houses to kidnap people without anything being done by security agents and our government. Ah! It is well oh. Nigeria, I hail thee indeed!
