I was nervous about doing my first live, but you guys were so welcoming and kind, I was blown away by your generosity, I certainly didn’t expect that !! Love the idea. This reminds me of those large crystals of embossing powder which used to be available, which needed a 'kiln' /small oven to melt the powder. I think ranger had several versions which were mixed eg the verdigris one. Also start use a timer so you don't over cook it. There was also some magic plastic that you could fuse together to make jewellery

OH OH OH Dawn Dunn Great idea, I use them all the time to cool bake goods in kitchen. BUT I use two to 3 together 12x12 inch very flat tiles from the Home builder kind of stores that are real stone and very flat polished one side. I use these as weights in my card making and book making craft/office area. And here you have 2 or 3 deep so very cooling for these. No Doubt. Your wee little comment was HUGE light bulb explosion in my tiny brain. Thank you.

Born in the USA it's chipboard and particle board is usually a wood product. So just like you CHIPBOARD is correct. I've got several large packs for outside books I make.

@@marionemberson I just ordered the fuse foil machine! I almost did when it first came out but decided not to. Then when SSS got them back in and Gina I almost did again but didn’t then they sold out again. Then SBC got their supply and I finally just did it! So I’m pretty excited now to see what I can do with foil and mix it with embossing.

One more comment. When I began playing around with YOUR ideas of heating and melting powders I collected a bunch of the silicone ended nail art tools. These are amazingly helpful. They let you hold down the HOT melted if you want to toothpick cocktail pick the swiirls into it. But also super fine silicone tips also are magic too but so far the toothpick works great for finer smearing and swirling. But the tools also come with round and other styles of end tips too also because the handles would never get hot both work well and don't mess up the project top smooth area if careful in planning it out.

Just found my shrink sheets and can hardly wait to give this a try. Saving it for my friend to play later this week however. So have assembled all of your STUFF basically & will set up your Video on replay for us to watch along and play along with you. I'm sure we'll be hitting pause a lot and laughing socks off but hope to hang on to our heads. We got 6 inches of snow today. It's a very wet snow and her hubby is heading out of town with their adult son for a guys weekend of bonding. And that means we are going to PLAY girl style. My husband might wish he was heading out of town too. Lets see what could I make him???? Glazed buttons? Shrunken key rings? I don't have blue Tange but I have several WOW blues to try maybe a mix together. Also watched your video using Chocolate Carmel Pearl I believe. I am off to find it because I love chocolate colors and this sounds so yummy. Thanks again for your Shares. By the way I lost this one and it took me 3 days to locate it again. I have no idea why I couldn't bring this back up. Had the other one where you used this little pancake baker but no shrinking with that. I like this one best. You tried so many things. MORE PLEASE !!!!! My oven's ready. My WOW powders are ready. Oh I can find the small jars of Black High but not the large jars. Small will do.

Oh have fun !!! 6” of snow… WOW !!! We hardly get any anymore 😢😢 I love snow. Personally I prefer any powders that are translucent over opaque for this technique, but it depends on your surface. Absolutely mix some together. I’m hoping to do another live in a couple of weeks, I really enjoyed myself. Just putting together some ideas to play with 🥰🥰🥰

Wow!! Wow is the right named company for you! I read the chat as well, everybody loves you and your techniques and cant wait till your next live. I have a sandwich press that will work great. If I use the parchment paper I am sure it will be fine for food after. So interesting what you said about the Wow (T) embossing powder is the same as TH glazes. He has a tendency to use other peoples products as a jump off for his own I have noticed. I dont know what it is but he rubs me the wrong way. There are so many people these days with lingering coughs, I hope yours is improving. (It didnt interfere with the video though) I would love to see you make cards with all your newly created goodies. Hug all your little girlies for me! xxx

When using hot foiling dies it helps to warm the paper too and laying down the piece of foil for a few seconds too. Think everything warmed a bit after the glimmer or hot design is just that heated HOT. I do wish these machines had a dial for temperature control. But I am using mine with an extension cord that has 4 AC and 3 USB ports (AC = in the states). This allows me to turn it off and on. The one I prefer is a surge protector but not necessary just happens to be my favorite and comes in 5 and 10 feet options. But the on off switch is at the ports so ultra easy to use. Now an extra thing you can do with the hot foil dies or glimmer dies you can use as emboss/deboss dies similar to an embossing folder. Just ink up the dies with pigment dies for some reason they work better than dye inks. Anyway then run through your embossing machine using the sandwich that works best with your machines and you may need to play around with it via there's a little difference between brands of hot foil plates I've found out. So sometimes more shim or less. Similar to your option of 5 card stock sheets together. But like you said each embossing machine even same models have slightly differences between them all. I'm watching or rewatching your inking and applying WOW Blue Tange to the shrink butterfly. I love how it came out. I must get some Blue tang or tange. I love the glass effects by the way. I have 8 different liquid colorings for resin work and experiment with it and the melt resin powder by WOW. Fingers crossed. I really want a translucent deep red heart glass looking. So I'll let you know if it works. I'm sure the smallest amount will be enough colorant. May use a dipped tooth pick in the color then run it through the melting resin. Just love all these and loved them before you introduced us to the pancake pan.

Yes, I did use the hot foil die in the pan before, it came out perfect but as usual, do it on camera and… 🙈🙈🙈 and yes I have used those dies and normal dies for dry embossing, it’s lovely. The pigment ink works best as it takes longer to dry. 🤗🤗 Blue Tang is beautiful, try Apple Red for a deep red, gorgeous … have fun 🥰🥰

So much for promises. But the melting pots or using the pans to melt and pour are fantastic if using any style type of mold. I'm suspect that this heater may not heat enough to melt the embossing powders into the mold itself. So maybe that's a future Marion tutorial. But I have a few adorable molds and plan to use with the melt it and just doubt a few of the molds would also be too tall for closing the lid. A couple probably would work but not most of them. I have both silicone and some kind of ceramic. molds. I am not sure what to use as a mold release for the ceramic molds and thinking maybe a little bit of the WOW embossing solution/ink stuff as a release but not sure I trust that.

I have a few really old videos using the melt it and moulds, I love it, but you’re right about the pancake maker and moulds, some I have are shallow so the lid would close, but others aren’t. I’ve never heard of ceramic moulds, this is a new one on me 😂😂😂🥰

it’s soft whilst still warm, which is great as you can manipulate it, then it goes hard when cold 🤗🤗

HOT FOIL BY WOW nothings wrong with a pre-review and there you go and if it didn't come to market there's so many other types of foil out there this may give us ideas. BTW there's a marvelous how to use heat embossing plates without heat here on KZbin. Hint it uses INKS not foils with the embossing plates. But the inks used have zero metallics and I want SHIMMER. It sparkles and glitters and shimmers and I'm a sucker. LOL. BTW Marion take all the time you want. If we can't take the time to watch in 1-5 hours we can return and move the little slider up to about where we left off. Take all the time you need or want. It's so fun riding along with you. It's like being there with you. Sorry if I got too close looking over your shoulder...oh dear did I drop a few brownie crumbs on the pancake pan? OH DEAR....
