Man I love this sound, and how the lyrics have unexpected (and very deep) continuation points between bars. Really great stuff!! It sounds like you might be able to lower the strings some to get some better action out of that guitar. Sanding down the saddle can be complicated work though. Especially if the nut is what's holding the strings too high, or sitting too low. Then, you can get string buzz from sanding too much off of the saddle and either have to use a shim or get a whole new saddle or nut... I can sort of hear the need to press the strings with relatively significant force to make contact with the frets though... I think. Just me thinking out loud lol. Did a bit of sanding down of a saddle on one of my acoustics (by hand... My fingertips were not happy!) and it helped a lot, but can be scary hoping you don't sand too much off, or any potential variables are unaccounted for before string buzz starts happening. Anyways, can't wait to hear what else you come up with!

Wow, thanks so much! I actually have it that high on purpose... it is how I get the sound using the heavy strings I like without the buzz... I do need a refret though -they are deeply worn and cause issues when I use a capo... Sounds like you know what you are talking about. some day when I can afford I will get it to a good luthier to do it all right and get the balance I need for sound and playability. I do like the tone of this guitar though. Thanks again for your comments!!
