I had to laugh, but also cry a little, when you said, hitting the benchmarks can take a long time and then saying it took you 3-4 months...I have my channel since 2012, I'm uploading (in my opinion very descent) content consistently every week for 1 1/2 years now but am still creeping around under 1000 subscribers (not to mention my catastrophic clickrates which most of the time don't even reach the 50 mark). Sometimes it's just so frustrating when you know the 20 clicks your video that you poured 15+ hours in gets are from friends and family only. I'm glad they're all watching it, but most of them do it, to support me not because they particularly enjoy watching my content. I appreatiate it, don't get me wrong, but to say it in really cringey German idioms: It's not the yellow from the egg. I love making video though and it keeps me creating to have a weekly deadline but for all who want to start a channel: it isn't worth the time if you do it for the money, but it's totally worth it, when you love doing it no matter what the numbers say...

Hey, I might be completely wrong so take it with the grain of salt, I looked at your channel, and I did like your art, I just had few questions in my mind - 1) Are you on different social media? I have a writing account on Instagram, it got 300 followers for first few months but one month I tried to gain followers, so I followed people who were in same content as me or interested in similar content, I had a different kind of eye catching layout to sperate me, tried to get on shout-out accounts, and gained around 15k in 2 months and I stopped follow for follow around 700 followers, also tags I used were small to help me get better, after it I just had issue and now I didn't post in months, that's a different story. Basically someone can try different things to gain followers on different platforms, through KZbin video or websites by searching. 2) I'm not telling you should do anything that you're not interested in but like in journal themes, sometimes people do themes like Ghibli or zodiac basically that can mix two interests of people. 3) People usually video watch cause they are interested, they want to know about something, learn something, basically it gives them something, like info, feeling or something else so thinking about those while choosing thumbnail, title and stuff can be helpful. Hey you both! Thank you for the tips! I am active on Instagram as well, under the same name and I often connect KZbin an Instagram trough posts! I have to admit, that SEO isn't my strongsuite and I have much to learn in that field. I think it's also a difficult thing to decide weather one makes videos that are trending at the moment or those which one's personally passionate about. Same thing with the follow for follow. I know that it works at the beginning, but I hate this concept so much... I don't like following people, I'm not particular interested in. Because of that, I sure have to accept, that my following is growing rather slowly. That can be frustrating, but most of the time, I'm ok with it. I just wanted to give another perspective to Linh' s path and I appreciate that you took the time to have a look at my channel!
