I followed the “No contact” rules and after 3 months my ex reach out to me by saying that she misses me, she called me twice I picked it the second time, she told me that her heart hurts and Why didn’t I reached out to her, she wanna me to apologize to her, if I did so she won’t be heart broken and I said okay, then I apologize and we chat for few minutes then suddenly she start bitchy and drop the call, I called her today but she’s was still disrespectful, I said bye. Hello Alex, I recently got my ex back for maybe 3 weeks. She came back and we chose to continue our relationship and side note we were actually engaged and we have known each over 10 years also we had several rough break ups and somewhat toxic. Anyway she wanted to jump right back in the relationship strong and I wanted to take it slow. I love her so I gave in, took her out for her birthday and we actually had a terrific time. Hello guys, so it's been 6 NC, havent seen him for 3 weeks (we work together) and I decided it's time to do a little step and was looking frwrd to test the waters. I caught him looking at me and when he apporached me was looking and when I raised a hand to do a handshake, smiled warmly he looked away almost immediately. And forgives himself and others hardly. I cried from anger. I believe it's a guilt. He hurt me and now he sees he was wrong ... all of the people (his family included) see my change and say compliments about it to me all the time. But what to do to turn tabels for I know this idiot has a great heart and what great potential he has. We had an amazing relationship... Do you thing it's a guilt? Me and my ex always say "I love you" when we talk. Thats really important to me, because I never want my last conversation with someone I love to not have said I love you. Meaning if someone I love died tomorrow and I didn't tell them that I love them when we last spoke, that would internally kill me. So I say it to my ex because I love her and I want her to know that and I don't want that to be our last conversation and me not have said it. BUT recently she flip flops on whether or not she says it back. Seems like sometimes she says it first, sometimes she seems happy to say it, and then sometimes it feels like I have to force her to say it back. ITs so confusing because I feel in my heart that she loves me, she shows it by calling me just to talk, calling me by our silly nicknames for each other, but then I get confused when she wont say it. Hummm I totally get that saying I love you is very important to you. It's so important to me too. In my opinion try to focus more on her actions. Does she show you that she loves you? Sometimes actions is better then words in my opinion. I made the mistake by telling my ex bf that I still love him. He didn't say it back because I hurt him. Is ok because I know that I'm being true to my feelings but I've learned that keeping your feelings to yourself is better to prevent heart breaks. My advice to you is look at her actions and see if she truly loves you and it sounds like she does!!!

I’m in the same situation. Honestly I stopped saying it just because it made her uncomfortable. It also makes her think she’s leading you on and hurting you more. She’s conflicted because she loves you but is also confused on other things. I just say keep an open mind because she’s obviously keeping hers open. She probably wants to have fun and meet new people and maybe fall in love with some random person to then realize it isn’t love. Sometimes you have to let those people go man.
