Max Mustard sold better on PSVR2 than Quest and I bet it’s been like that for years in so many cases.

@@SB-ln6kb The lead up may have helped somewhat, but ultimately it was the popularity and success of Astrobot: Rescue Mission and the lack of a new Astrobot VR game that is driving sales of MM on PSVR2. The first 2 weeks are peak sales for all games. It’s possible but highly unlikely that lower volume sales later in the life cycle of the game on Quest will go beyond PSVR2 sales.
@Imhotep3974 күн бұрын
@@SB-ln6kb The only sales reports any game publisher/dev will make noise about is in the first days, first week or two because sales always crash after that. As I said if you don’t make the bulk sales in the first week or two and hit the projected numbers for that period it’s not happening after that. That’s the way the games industry has always worked.

Trons a video game movie none the less, and should be seen even if its outdated. lol. The original is much better then the remake which is total trash and should never have been made. lol. The old original is still fun tho just like, "the last star fighter", another semi cool gamer movie "must see", even if its not as great as other scifi movies they are good for gamers to have partaken. :) If you want my top 20 scifi movie list i post a few weeks ago i can copy it here for ya. ..Either way hope you get to see those two someday even if they are from a different era. :)

Bryan, take the sponsorships god dammit. You deserve to. And it does not make your reviews biased/worthless. We all need to and should expect to be able to make a living for our work. Too many people are far too 'nice' against their own best interests in life, and hold themselves back for no truly good reason. Also, F the GameCats that might have a problem with it. It's probably a minority anyway and people need to grow up/live in the real world.

I'll pick both, mainstream games, and more experimental games with developers toying with VR mechanics. Both should exist in a sane gaming landscape.

VR should be more enjoyable to people who are older, less active, as they have the money the industry needs. I.e. If VR would allow the ability to change ones perspective, it would be game changing for some. Like why MUST one stand or sit in an uncomfortable chair to play most games. VR should arrange to the users position, not the other way around. I.e. If I want to chill on a recliner (like a lot of gamers),and put on a headset why cant I just hit a preference " recliner mode" shift the environment to your angled head position, have a 'crouch' button option- if needed, and just enjoy the game. In its present state you cant. So i wind up putting the VR in theater mode and playing a flat. No-Mans-sky is a perfect example of just how more enjoyable it was using the controller and playing flat in vr. Not a fan of VRAF but do still enjoy VR.
@BenDowswell4 күн бұрын
You would love UEVR mods on PC then. All of them can be played from a recliner and with a gamepad using head aiming or gamepad aiming. Luke Ross VR mods are similar, too

This! So much this. I hate that Madison is basically impossible to play seated if you have limited mobility and space. I played it once for like an hour and never again.
@BenDowswell4 күн бұрын
@JayUEVR that's interesting. I just finished playing through Madison seated without an issue. But there were still many moments when I'd have to reach to the ground etc, so it wasn't fully seated and immobile. But I completely agree that the biggest immersion factor in VR is actually being inside the game. The motion controls are secondary to that experience

I litterly play every vr game sitting down (usually Indian style) on my bed. But sitting down none the less. Playing no mans sky the way you describes sounds really depressing not guna lie. Just go into your settings and set the floor lower than your actual floor is and wala the vr thinks your standing even if your sitting down. Also most vr games do have a sitting mode that will adjust it to you sitting down automatically without you even having to change your vr settings, have you checked the games your playing to make sure? (Edit) see you said reclining back I see where maybe that could be an issue I would suggest holding down start button to reset the perspective that might make it look right while your reclined I'm not entirely sure without trying it tho

Could RE7 come to PS VR2, because it's nearly Halloween by any chance? 🎃 Maybe if PlayStation were wise, they might?! Got to be such a cheap port situation, much like how Rez etc. came to to PS VR2 at launch. Then again, what probably would be wiser, if possible, would probably be lowering the cost of entry for the headset.

I just cant understand why Capcom is working currently on bringing Re7 to Apple phones, which the data shows sales are absolutely abysmal and way worse than PSVR2 numbers do, but they cant update it for PSVR2. They even gave it a PS5 next gen patch. They dont even need to make it sense controller compatible. Just have it be where you play with the dualsense, similar to how you used the dualshock for it. I really hope they do, cause i really dont think Re9 is going to have PSVR2 support. With it running on the new RE engine that is much more demanding i dont think it will be able to run good enough on consoles to have VR support, and they cant lock VR support behind a pro console.
@WithoutParole3 күн бұрын
Capcom does what they get paid to do. Apple is paying them to bring RE7 to phones. Sony paid them to bring RE7 to PSVR1 (along with RE4&8 to PSVR2). So we have to hope that Sony keeps paying them and we keep getting awesome Resident Evil games! :D

AJ is going to burn himself out on Mods. It just seems like a recipe for disappointment when you overstimulate yourself with sub-par versions of every single game in VR. Like spending an hour deciding on a movie to watch on Netflix, yet never having the attention span to finish one. I'll pass on PC VR, I can't even keep up with PSVR2 these days. Lol
@supernintendochalmers66283 күн бұрын
And to the point of Roots claiming there are no good games exist in VR. I found 'flat gaming' TIRING. They're all linear story-driven games. With very little "gameplay" (if you consider following on-screen prompts gameplay only to service a story ie. The last of us overrated). At least there's a new sense of freedom with exploring an environment the actually surrounds you that flat gaming can't provide. Roots just over-saturated himself like a kid in a candy store. AJs going to end up doing that soon too.
@WithoutParole3 күн бұрын
I think we all get tired or burnt out doing the same thing day in / day out for years. I started getting tired of flatscreen gaming long before PSVR1 came along. And as much as I loved PSVR1 and am loving PSVR2, I've had my moments where I needed to step away from running a channel dedicated to it. Ruuts has my sympathies. Hopefully he'll rediscover his love for VR with all these new games coming out! :D
