You took the easier ferry, not sure if it's still around but when I went to Victoria there was a ferry that left from the dock here in Seattle that took several hours... it was stormy and i was VERY glad I had ginger tea to keep my stomach under control.

Queen Memphis on her throne. I do love how they turned the door into a table aka Throne fit for a Queen like Memphis. I know just how you feel Jess, I got sick my first time on a ferry. The first time I went to New York for a class trip. Which I cherish now more than ever before. I got to go to the top of The World Trade Center. I will never forget seeing just how tall those buildings were. Thanks for taking us with you on this trip. Please give Dan, Jamie, Memphis, Kira, and Eleanor a hug and kiss from me. I haven't been on a BC ferry since 1992. I went with my parents and they had a big truck with a big 5th wheel. It was expensive back then 😁 What a great air b&b. Very BC feel. I'm loving these.

Hehe, I drove onto a ferry when crossing over the baltic sea when going to Sweden (6hr ride). Driving up the steep ramp was a bit scary but I then enjoyed sitting outside on the upper deck.

I was told by an old fisherman to look at the horizon. When we take that ferry, we try to arrive early and we ask to go on the top deck. So far we have gotten lucky and we chill in the car.

I don't have a problem with taking the ferry except for sea sickness. The North Sea is pretty rough an it's 9 hours of 30 foot waves. Sound of Shiant (Between Isl of Sky & Harris, Scotland) is pretty calm but I still get sea sick on that crossing.

You Could NEVER LIVE In Either New York Or New Jersey Jessica, with all the bridges & tunnels that traverse between both states to get into and out of both of them. The Lincoln & Holland Tunnels both go under the water, plus all the bridges that go from NJ Into NY at various points, not to mention the ones that take you from one Boro of NY into another Boro of NY, and then there's The Staten Island Ferry that goes I believe half-hourly from Staten Island across the water into Manhattan Island. You would be a consistently neurotic wreak on an every day basis if you lived there & had to deal with driving through and around all of that every day!!
