Just because John died tragically, it doesn’t mean he was an angel. It seems to me that Karen, especially with her medical issues, was insecure with John being surrounded by a gaggle of adoring women, meanwhile she shouldered a hell of a lot of responsibility for his niece and nephew. Was she acting in the best manner? No. But it was obviously just wanting reassurance that she wasn’t worthless, she made it very clear it was never going to be more than flirtation.

To follow up and be fair... From what I've read, Officer O'Keefe sounded like a pretty good guy and a great Uncle to the kids. So after being married to a abusive, cheating cop, I would have been thrilled to be with a good man. I sure wouldn't have been reaching out to another guy behind the back. But Ms. Reads lack of integrity doesn't mean she is a murderer. I don't think she's guilty after watching this trial and the Albert family testimonies etc. Family Ties plus the Blue Line intermingled makes for a pretty inpenetrable front. Experienced the Blue Line cover-ups, disappearring evidence, faulty Protection Orders, etc. I know how that goes!

The childrens biological parents both died so I don't know what she's upset about in regards to the kids. Brian knows Karen is using him to make John jealous. She's being very vague and refuses to answer his straight forward and easy questions.

I definitely have questions after all texts were reviewed by the court proceedings. A man drinking hard liquor and his texting her the night of the incident. Another man probably feeling nothing but “What the fck”. putting aside all he’s been taught in his career! Even if he’s not guilty, the defense is doing a good job making him look guilty!

Vinnie I don’t believe those text messages will do any Justice for Karen Read. I don’t think it really makes a huge difference if she’s flirting but it might to the Jurors. If anyone had any sympathy for her before these text messages they certainly won’t after last week. My guess Brian Higgins isn’t so attracted to the “Defendant”anymore! I do believe Karen Read was trying to make John Jealous but it’s really bad taste with one of his friends or coworkers! Probably because she saw him kiss someone in Aruba!
