I'd like to see a test on accuracy with and without the SME. I would think that the device will change your barrel harmonics.

That’s a good idea. From the range I was shooting around 40 yards, there’s probably not much difference. Further out though, accuracy may be affected.

I have one. I wish this was just advertised as a shrouded brake. The brake they provide works amazingly. To me the only purpose is to NOT have the deafening explosion from muzzle brake. I use this when I'm shooting indoors with others, easy to slide this baby on and you're no longer shooting grenades.

Verdict: The Bog Deathgrip is an amazing product. In defense of Witt Machine, it is difficult to make .223/5.56 quiet, even with a suppressor. Its important to note that the SME doesn’t make anything quieter, but it does push the sound forward. This is probably the intended effect. By the way, I am not sponsored by anyone.

there is absolutely ZERO reduction in decibels. the ONLY thing that this muzzle device is good for, and in fact the only reason it should even be considered is for typicaly shorter barreled weapons. this is is a blast FORWARDING device. it in NO ways mitigates the volume. it only directs it forward instead of around. put this device on 7.5" or 10" pistol build and try it with and withput the device, then tell me the value of the product. products, and muzzle devices in particular work a whole lot better when they are employed properly, and in the way they are supposed to be worked.

Well from wht I have seen there is a vid with a Decibel meter and it shows in front of the gun excess of a 150 dB and at the shooters ears is around a 131 dB. 140 is supposed to b hearing safe so take wht u want form tht and I have one it does wht its intended my 308 is a lot quiter at least for me the shooter lol
