My friend was fine with everything until he took her to court to reduce his child support of his first daughter with my friend, he claimed it was because he couldn't afford his child support with new baby on the way. He also wanted to cut his daughters dance classes because they were expensive and "unnecessary." Thankfully, the judge basically said his irresponsibly was not his daughter or her mother's fault and he ended up paying more so his daughter could absolutely continue her dance classes and my friend got more support. Thank God for decent judges. My friend just feels badly that another women was duped by this guy. They have since had the new baby and he didn't reach out to his 9 year old for weeks afterwards. This is why you should work, girls, even if you marry rich. You can be replaced any moment and left with nothing, but kids you will need to provide for.
@andrewclastic28352 ай бұрын
I've never understood this logic. You're telling girls to work through the single AND parenting years, which just makes their life harder and miserable, on the off chance their husband leaves them. You do know the male-led divorce rate is about 20% right? Meaning MOST women never need to worry about this. You ladies love to dream up the worst case scenarios in a world where they rarely occur.
@monihasnone61372 ай бұрын
Still never a bad idea for women to work. Being financially independent doesn’t lessen the importance of a partner in their lives, if they choose to have a partner. And in this economy, it feels like both partners need to work and take care of family
@andrewclastic28352 ай бұрын
@@monihasnone6137 Not trying to start an argument, but my reply was to someone who was saying working makes sense even if you "marry rich". Which it usually doesn't. I'm currently single but plan to provide for my future family one day. I'm working on a project that, if successful, will put me in the 1%. If a woman I'm dating tells me she sees her career (where she's making likely one tenth of what I am) as more important than raising our future kids, or taking care of the home, then we're done. She'll have told me everything I need to know about her mentality and worldview when it comes to family. Especially the sacrifice element that is UNAVOIDABLE in a healthy marriage and family.
@omori37032 ай бұрын
@@andrewclastic2835 Your preferences about future family arrangements are understandable, but women will still usually want to work even if they have a rich partner so they don’t become financially dependent on him. Since money is so necessary for life, it’s basically having your entire life hanging on whether your partner loves you or not, which can be very stressful and lead to awful consequences for the woman (like ‘tradwives’ being divorced with no work experience, no money and several children) I’m not saying that this is the case for everyone, nor am I trying to dictate how your future family runs. I’m just explaining why women may choose to still work even though she has a rich partner
@andrewclastic28352 ай бұрын
@@omori3703 I appreciate your response. My point is merely that the fear surrounding that outcome is misplaced. No one mentioned marrying rich with an "unfair" prenuptial agreement. In fact, no one's mentioned a prenup at all. Due to this, there is virtually no logic behind working just to be "independent". Independence in that sense is a fever dream of feminism that doesn't exist in the way they want it to. You virtually can't be happily married AND independent. You'll always be relying on your partner. Also, the divorce rate drops off a cliff for rich men. Again, this idea of marrying rich and then being abandoned when you get older is a female nightmare that almost never happens.

Sure, it might sting and feel unfair for the parent who wasn’t granted custody (or didn’t want it, because that’s unfortunately the reality in many cases) to pay a huge chunk of their income to their ex, but somehow these people seem to forget that their money used to support the child before the divorce as well, and that they are obligated to support their child up until they are adults. “Too pure for an ethnic wife?” Really? Do people really think this way? I’m a “far right conservative,” who likes the idea of white nationalism (not so much for the USA but for Europe certainly, I like Japan for the Japanese, Congo for the Congolese and England for the Angles). But even I wouldn’t say that. If you’re married to a good woman, but you want a more attractive woman, you’re a pig but that makes sense. I disagree with it but I can understand it. If you’re married to a hot woman and want a better character wise woman, again this makes sense, choose wisely who you marry. But if you have an attractive GOOD woman, and you are dissatisfied bc they aren’t of a pure race makes no sense. Hot is hot, good is good (good morals, behavior, family, genes, etc). Again like I said, I’m about as close to “racist,” as you are ever likely to meet and even I either think this is bs or the fellow is mental. Or they could be of another ethnicity and I could be so blind by my bias that I just assumed the dude was white?

@@Markus2E5I6 in seriously do not understand what you said (or more correctly what you said I said). I will endeavor to place myself in the man’s shoes: Let’s say I (white man) married a Filipina woman. She is kind, beautiful, sexy and loyal. Now I make $165k/year. The chances of getting a hotter, better character woman of my own race are drastically lower bc if she does have high moral standards, she wouldn’t settle for me bc I literally divorced a good woman bc of racism. Further I don’t care if you’re Jeff bezos, if you leave your first wife for her looks your second wife might be more physically attractive but unlikely to be better character wise.

My point was the guy in the video is acting the way you believe it should be, he is going back to his own race so why are you confused by this, you should understand better than anyone. Also once again your ideology of races should stay to their own countries doesn't mix well with having a Filipina wife...you do realise that's not staying with your race and your kids will be half-filipina which you would hate as you said you are racist. Or that she will either move to your country or you to hers aka one of you won't be in your original country which once again goes against your ideology.

She initially just wanted money to raise the kids that she and him had together, and enough to get an apartment, again mostly for *their* kids. She was certainly not the greedy one because he initially gave him a very good deal he refused. The state awarded her more mostly because of the kids that she agreed to take on all of the responsibility for, but they deemed that dad is equally responsible for them (which he is. Takes two to tango) They both entered the marriage agreement and combined finances. If he was so opposed to not having to pay out spousal support in the event of divorce, he should have signed a prenup which he surely knew was an option. Childcare is very labor intensive and both physically and mentally taxing, so she was putting a lot of work into the marriage and the household even if she was not employed.
