Delhi to Kashmir (Srinagar) Journey by Train but Army Everywhere

I recently found out that it's very easy to reach Srinagar from Delhi. First, I took a train from New Delhi railway station to Jammu Tawi Railway station. After that my phone network suddenly stopped working but people were very helpful and directed me to a nearest authorized network retailer and within 15 minutes, I got a new sim but getting a bus from Jammu Tawi Railway station to Srinagar was even easier.

Jammu region is very buitiful but getting taxi, hotel etc is very tough. No tour operator agrees to take you to some offbeat locations in Jammu reagion. This is my experience, may be things will change with time but by then offbeat locations will be crowded.

Jammu and kashmir is divided into two regions - Jammu and Kashmir . And Jammu Tawi railway station falls in Jammu region. You reach Jammu through Rail . And for kashmir you go by any other vehicle. Nothing offensive but just like to clarify because Jammu is always neglted because of Kashmir 🙌

It is not divided into regions but divisions. There is hell of difference between region snd division. Division are in majority every state just like districts for administrative purpose. State Government can make new divisions just like district. To dviied a state into parts dhar commission is the criteria. Which is based on languages.

they are nice with tourists as its their source of income. when i went there ,muslims there greeted us with jai mata di and were very very hospitable. but yes they are not trustworthy so we have to be very careful and cautiouses.
