Daily, I thank the Holy Spirit for directing me to pastor Paul Washer. Before him, when I was seeking out the Lord I was guided to pastor John MacArthur and the first video/sermon I seen from pastor MacArthur was saved or self deceived pt.1 and I never looked back. Praise the Lord!!!

Even though some men are in the ministry or attend church and have a relationship with God, some women don’t want to allow the man to lead as head of household, not even in ministering in his home.

I got told get a job by my preacher. he lied and said its sinful for you not help your husband. my husband worked while I took care of the children. the pastors wife however didn't work. if I submitted to my lost husband I would be sinning.He doesn't want me worship God at all. he yells at me for worshipping God and goes you know I don't believe in that stuff.that is y I am glad scripture says submit unto the Lord

My sister submitted to her husband. Except he was an abusive f; he also couldnt support them . She ended up in a shelter with two children. This ancient doctrine assumes that all men are good stewards of family. They are not.

This message is one in a series of six messages on the family. He talks to the men very strongly in several of the other messages. You might want to listen to how he exhorts men to behave and treat their wives and children before you judge this message on women.

He actually strongly rebukes men who are abusive in this very sermon, he gets serious about men who abuse this authority by abusing their wives. This doctrine by itself in the Word does not assume all men are good stewards to their families. It's simply teaching men and women the right way to be a family. As Christians we should all know how to discern from this doctrine that of course it is not implying that it's ok to be abusive. The rest of the word of God clearly affirms that. We use the whole counsel of God to determine these things.

Flip the first part of the sermon around and let the man look over and see less than a woman in her role . Pastors never say that including this one . The man has to love no matter what , but the woman only has submit when he fits the biblical paradigm which is a wax nose that a man can never live up to . Second , he says that a woman has to grow with a man . What about 1 Peter 3 ? And he completely skipped over this verse and moved to Ephesians 5 . To the woman he said, “I will surely multiply your pain in childbearing; in pain you shall bring forth children. Your desire shall be contrary to your husband, but he shall rule over you.” Another sermon about the husbands cloaked under the title of submission of wives . Been listening to this stuff for 32 years .,

All the stuff that Paul Washer says is correct but he definitely leaves out a lot when it comes to Godly wives. But he never forgets to criticize the Godly husbands on the areas where we fall short in while almost never criticizing the Godly wives for anything.

So true. There is an “Emperor Has No Clothes” level of willful ignorance when it comes to the sins of women in the church. I’ve never understood it. It’s been pointed out that Christians may have taken the ideas of chivalry and defending the weak to such an extreme that they can no longer directly call out women’s sins. But now women are leading liberalization charges in their churches, organizing online under the banners of “women’s ministries”, and causing division at home and in church. It’s taken a few decades but we’re running out of cultural capital to burn through. This can’t just be swept under the rug anymore.

+Hiroko Watanabe I might not be an expert in the marriage field but I believe that your husband is having issues with trust. wisdom is very important in dealing with this. So you need to to go back to God, not to ask Him to change your husband but to ask Him what does this situation mean and what should you do? i.e "what is the purpose for this situation and how best can i respond to it?". i'm praying for you and i believe the Lord will answer and give you a divine direction. God bless you, Sis .

Mutual submission, here is not for marriage. You will here people preach this for marriage ,and immediately you should know that it is not for marriage, clearly the man should be in charge, clearly this does not mean that you just arbitrarily overrule your wife.

7:03 I appreciate the sentiment here but this is sometimes just not true. I know some men who are trying to live faithful lives as best as they can and their wives are still miserable and generally rebellious. Women are not robots. They can carry their own sin into relationships. They can become radicalized by feminist propaganda and friends or even their own fears. Just as a man can be sinful towards his godly wife, so can a woman be sinful towards her godly husband. It is good and profitable to be godly, and it greatly increases the odds of a successful marriage, but it is also true that a wife can from day one in her marriage be carrying deep issues that possibly originated all the way back to her childhood. And she can be so closed off and bottled up that she refuses the wise counsel of others and her husband. He has a duty and responsibility to help her and wash her in the word, but she is human, with her own will, and she can chose disobedience to God in pursuit of worldly views on marriage. Part of the problem with the church’s response to feminism and its impact on marriage is that by promoting the “godly man = godly wife” narrative it puts the wife in the position of arbiter and final judge in the marriage. If she is having negative emotions then it is the husbands fault. Why? Because the church has been basically telling her that the whole time! “If he just did better than I’d be happy!’ The ancient scholars and weren’t as naive about feminine sinful nature. They knew women could be devious, reviling, or self-serving just as men can be. Really the only way to take on feminism is to directly address feminine sinful nature (while being equally specific about men’s sins) The church’s well-intentioned sense of chivalry and desire to protect and nurture women has unintentionally created an environment where it almost impossible for pastors to directly address the sins of women without a revolt from many of the women in the church.

I don't think that we hate children. It's the parents and the government fault that the children are growing up rude, disrespectful, loud, wants everything their way, etc, etc. nobody wants to be around children like that. spare the rod, spoil the child.

Spare the rod and spoil the child is not biblical. Here’s something from an article I read. “The phrase, "spare the rod and spoil the child" is not a Christian phrase and is not in the Bible. That phrase actually comes from a narrative poem written in the 1600s titled "Hudibras" by Samuel Butler. Two of the main characters are planning on starting a love affair, and one of the characters asks the other to engage in sadomasochism and flagellation before she will go to bed with him. The actual quote is: "If matrimony and hanging go/By dest'ny, why not whipping too?/What med'cine else can cure the fits/Of lovers when they lose their wits?/Love is a boy, by poets styl'd/Then spare the rod, and spoil the child." How this phrase got mixed up with the Bible is a mystery. I found the book when I did a library search several years ago while training parents involved with DCFS to use methods other than corporal punishment.Corporal punishment does not have its basis in the Bible. When one examines the verse, "He that spareth the rod hateth his son," one needs to understand the tools shepherds used in tending their sheep. They used a crook to lift sheep out of holes they had fallen into, and they used the rod, a straight stick, to guide them. The sheep were not beaten with the rod. "Sparing the rod" in that sense, means that a parent must guide his or her child and teach the child right from wrong. The word "discipline" comes from the same root word as "disciple," and discipline is teaching, training, setting an example of proper behavior, and giving consequences that help a child learn how to behave better. The word "punish" comes from a root word that means to inflict physical pain. Furthermore, nowhere in the New Testament does Jesus tell parents to use corporal punishment with their children. Spanking is not discipline; it does not teach a child how to be a better person. It is punishment, and teaches that the method of dealing with people who don't do what you want them to is to hit them. It creates fear, and children do not learn in an atmosphere of fear.”

Women can wear jewelry if their husbands approve. Remember how Abraham's servant gave Rebecca some jewelry. Also:: Isa 61:10 10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels KJV Also, notice how jewels were donated Ievudebe that women originally used them).the building of the temple in O.T. times. God wants women to value their spiritual beauty more than their outward beauty. Prov 11:22 22 As a jewel of gold in a swine's snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion. KJV

I really like Paul's preaching. He seems like a real man of God. Too bad he is already married. I wonder if he would take on extra wives. He probably has women throwing themselves at him because he is good looking and appears to be a very kind man. He looks like an athlete, look at those broad shoulders and large hands. He is gorgeous. Very good looking.

I must tell you, you should not say such things. First of all, it is unbiblical for a man to have more than one wife (Matt. 19:5-6). Second, you should not talk about anyone, much less a pastor, in this sensual way, tempting women to lust after him. If you have these thoughts, do not vocalize them and cause others to stumble. Instead of thinking, "Too bad he's already married... look at his beauty...", think instead, "God was good to his wife. She is very blessed." I would think you should understand where I am coming from, considering your username. Look away from this man, and look toward Christ.
@looktojesus4774

maybe unbiblical, but not illegal. He is hot and that is that.
@TetanusStrings
@TetanusStrings 8 жыл бұрын
Do you hold man's laws above God's laws? Man can punish you finitely, for a finite time, but God can punish you infinitely, for an infinite time. As for legal/illegal, I hope you realize polygamy IS illegal in the U.S.. Have you ever noticed the similarities between man's laws and God's laws? Both are based primarily in morality. I wonder where man got his laws from (God)... I am not sure if your username means anything but, if it does, I want you to know that in order to "look to Jesus", you must read His book (the Bible). In His book, you will find that Jesus himself says in Matthew 5:28, "everyone who looks at a woman (or man) with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her (or him) in his (or her) heart." (Meaning you just broke one of God's laws). Romans 6 says, "Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?" So then, have you died to sin so that you can live for Christ? I am not here to critique or only judge you. I want to spur you on to righteousness, so you can have real joy in Christ. How do you do that? Count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:8). Worship Jesus, not Paul Washer. Not man.
