I LOVE this song but has Malta ever done well in the Televote? The staging really needs to be unique, daring and accessible for the continent to really back it! Definitely a Top 3 contender though!

As a native French speaker I usually don't like when there is a French sentence in a English song, or even an English part in a French song, BUT this is perfect ! I love it, the "Je me casse" is amazing. The singer is fabulous. I Love it !

The melody is reminiscent of the types of melodies heard 100 years ago, the secret alcohol bars and the flapper women with dresses and feather headwear and swing music, it has it all. For those not familiar, secret alcohol bars existed in the US in the 1920's because women canceled alcohol in that time which lead to the "prohibition" period, in which the sale of alcohol in the US was illegal. They had secret bars called "speak easies" that one would go to, to party and drink without the police knowing. The Roaring 20's was famous for that. Even well known gangsters invested in illegal alcohol business. But Destiny makes that music work in 2021 just like Christina Aguilera did in her song "Candyman" back in 2006, which leaned more towards the American 1940's. It's just the message of the song to where Destiny is an independent woman, and doesn't need no man to control her or her life. Malta is a definite qualifier this year. That's all I can say. Top 10 for me. I love this.

Yes, I definitely want the '30s and '40s to be more peaceful and prosperous for everyone! I would love to see Malta win this year. There are several songs I could see making it to #1. Switzerland, France, San Marino, maybe Bulgaria... I'd be fine with any of these, but I have a feeling a more upbeat song like San Marino or Destiny's might just be what the world wants and needs in May. Can't wait!

The funny thing is: The way Suzanne is conveying these ideas here in this video is way more diplomatic and polite than the song itself actually puts it. ^^ She definitely gives the lyrics a favourable reading. I'm not so sure the average televoter will have the same reaction to it... ;) Then again, average televoters tend not to pay attention to lyrics, sadly. I really hope the new Swedish executive producer establishes subtitles in Eurovision, just like they already exist in Melodifestivalen. a) To have translations for all the non-English songs running along the bottom of the screen, and b) to understand fast English lyrics, too. Like the ones from my own country, Germany, this year... XD

Wasn't sure Destiny could match/beat here 2020 entry, but she does with ease. Even though it is a completely different sound to last year, it is still DESTINY and seems authentic to her sound and character/personality. Could Malta actually do it? Could they actually win? Tricky. On the plus side, the song is full of sensation, instant appeal, and Destiny is at once a star, a diva, and a thoroughly nice person. However, does it actually bring a new aspect to the female empowerment vibe, or is it a kind of trite simplistic piggy-backing on what has already been said (?) I am not sure either way. Ultimately though, who would begrudge Malta and Destiny a win or a high placing?
