Win or lose this song is going to be an absolute banger in all the euroclubs in the run up to the contest. That ‘drop’ totally fits this song as it’s more EDM/ House Music than Pop. You can also imagine the staging being an almost carbon coby of the music video with all the strobe lights and effects.

Ive said this on the Wiwi chat boards already, but this song is a meaty floorfiller. A song that sounds like the big trance tracks that dominated the European dancefloors and charts in the early 2000's. Im getting hints of Sash!, Milk Inc, System F, Cascada etc and its all wrapped up in a modern package. I personally dont understand this notion of having to re-invent the wheel all the time for something to be relevant or well liked. Incorporating sounds from yesteryear makes something sound familiar and comforting, and for me this song does it so well. In other words it doesnt have to be original to be good. Originality isnt what makes something good. Originality just adds another layer of interest. I love the gentler parts in the verses, with the soft cinematic flourishes, which then fall away to a prechorus that picks up pace before the big drop, followed by the shrill, stabbing chorus made up heavy pulsating nighmarish trance beats. It totally goes with the lyrical content of the song. So far this one is my favourite of the two songs. Lets see what next week brings!

Totally unrelated, but William you do not age!! 😍 Also the whole idea of a EDM song is a "Drop". This isn't "pop" so chorus's aren't really a thing. It's Trance/Euro House. I guess on the drop, UMK have somethings up their sleeves. Maybe light work and dancing? I reckon it's going to sound so good on the big stage. Out of all the songs I've heard from all Pre Selections, this one stands out. It's giving top 5

Just a correction, almost zero finnish radio pop songs are in english, pretty much finnish only. Its only the Eurovision/UMK where artists tend to think its better suddenly change your singing language from finnish to english (like Robin) 😅. I think the first 2 songs were decent but the "heavy hitters" are probably coming next week.

I mean there have been lots of pop artists singing in english before. Anna Abreu, Saara Aalto, Isac Elliot, Alma, Krista Siegfrids, Diandra, Samu Haber, Sara Forsberg. And Robin didn't suddenly switch to English for umk, he had already made music in English for few years before that. And those are only the pop artists, then there are the Rasmus, Nightwish, HIM, Redrama. Sure currently Finnish pop is dominating the industry but singing in english is not really new or unique. Especially since big stars like Isac Elliot and Alma have built their careers on english pop songs. Neea isn't even the only one in umk singing in english, Goldielocks also makes music in english.

​@@paikio those do not change the fact that finnish pop artists singing in english are really rare in finnish radio. Average listener can maybe name some english singing Finns but few can even name any of their songs. That is because those who are singing in english know that they have a better chance of making a living aiming for a career abroad. So resources put on Finland are probably better spent on some bigger markets. Rock/Metal is a whole other discussion. They are more targeted to a more spesific audience while pop tries to appeal to masses.

Song is OK, if it makes to the Eurovisions the success depends so much on the competition / live performance. When I first heard the song I was worried with the auto-tune and the fact if she could perform the song live. Well, after hearing some live clips on Tik Tok not worried anymore, this girl can sing! The Whitney cover, Celine cover… Wow! Am confident now that she can kill it in live performance and thus do very well!

He commented on an interview, that his team has been establishing his social media presence in China for a while. And that some people were even coming to the shows primarily to see him.

If you listen to finnish radio, the songs are 95 percent sang in finnish, so I kind of get what she means by her will to bring back english to the charts. What a banger too!

Love this 1st song, very strong start to UMK, and IMO the chorus part with EDM is the most powerful part of the song (so I disagree with Deban there), and this from someone who usually doesn't even like EDM 😅 But agree that the very best song & UMK winner is probably yet to come. I agree with this having some of the Monsters' vibes, but this is more EDM. I like the song, but I suspect something more fitting for the ESC is coming. I also think, although the song is catchy, for EDM, it's a little tame. I wish it was bigger, now it lacks originality.

Thank you for keeping it real. I totally didn't understand the hype for this or Nelli's. I think everybody gets over high because UMK just has great production. But these songs so far are basic and not winners in my opinion because neither stand out to me sonically. Not for esc anyways. Doesn't mean they aren't good songs for the radio or club though.

This sounds like so many songs that have already been written. Saara Aalto, Cascada, trying to add a little 2012 Lady Gaga.. It is what it is; a basic EDM song. Good production, boring lyrics, (probably) good vocals (it's hard to tell with the over-production). It honestly sounds like something you've heard a dozen times before. Not great, not terrible. Sorry. "Chat GPT song" is a perfect description.

Finn here - I'm not impressed. Too generic and unoriginal and her English, at least in this song, isn't very... I can't make out all of it and she has enough of an accent that it bugs me. I don't mind a Finnish accent in spoken English (it's crazy, it's party), I have one too, but when it comes to music I find it distracting. So far I prefer Nelli Matula's entry, which has a great video as well.
