I love the part from 4:15 to 4:30, when Matti and Klemens have that little dialogue about who is the pessimist and who is the optimist. W: "You're making me thirsty!" They have that effect on a lot of people, as I'm sure you've noticed 😂 And they're right, kids, consent is key! That moment where Klemens leaned against Matthías while he was talking about how he has a hard time expressing himself was really sweet. Matthías seemed genuinely surprised at Klemens' answer re: who is the optimistic one, and I think that is something that even those of us who have watched basically every Hatari interview on KZbin have never seen before, so kudos to William for that. It was nice to see.

@Isleif I sort of wonder if part of it is that they are now speaking to audiences that may not be as familiar with them as those back in Iceland, so they may have felt that they had to strike a different balance. I did enjoy the bit about putting Einar in with the checked luggage. 😂

@Isleif I want to push back a bit on the idea that what they're satirizing is "run of the mill commercial bands". That seems so much smaller than the ideas that they're trying to get across. I mean, we've had this conversation elsewhere, so I think you get that. I also think that adjusting to your audience is not the same as "selling out" or whatever. I think if the message is the most important thing, you do what you need to make sure it is received. A message that isn't received can't be effective. And as for the glimpse of real mixed in with the satire, I really appreciated it, honestly. It was a lovely moment that is very unusual for them.

Oh, how long I was waiting for this interview!^^ 4:06 William almost made them fall out of character, I loved it :DDD I just want to take a moment and appreciate how William is so natural and kind in all of wiwi's interviews, his questions are also always on point, and you can see he really respects all of his guests (sadly not many reporters have these qualities...).
