Yes, he is. He has had a hard life as he suffered a very serious bowel condition and was very ill for a year. He also lost a lot of weight. Finally an operation saved his life. His large intestine was removed.

Was in Liverpool today to check out the vibe and parking etc before going to Semi #1, and last minute remembered about WiWi at Lush... Turned up just before his hourly segment, and first off he just randomly posed for a pic I was taking as he walked in (the fact he noticed me and took that 2 seconds to do that - cute af!). Then after this interview, had a quick meet & greet where he shot a short video for me to send to my best friend Vix who is NUTS about him haha (again, his sincerity shone through). He was my clear favourite to win this year for many reasons, and after meeting him, I was honestly touched by how genuinely sweet this guy is! And win or lose (although I really have a feeling he will win), I really hope he gets every bit of success because people like him deserve it :) Käärijä, if you ever happen to read this.. five stars, five stars... no, no, one :D Jokes... Thank you so much for making my day epic. (and Vix was bouncing off the walls when she saw her video!) :)

I am so so proud of Käärijä, he has done such an amazing job representing Finland 💚🇫🇮 When he won UMK, and II heard he doesn’t speak English that well, I thought ok that is a problem but no! I think he has just turned it into his benefit and again shows, you should not be afraid of the world and what others think, but to go out there and enjoy the party 💚😍

I have to admire how well they've played it, he and his team. I don't know if it just happened or if they gave it some thought but they really turned it into an asset! I love Finland. I've visited twice in the early 2000's and fell in love with Helsinki. I love the language even though I don't really understand it......but its beautiful to listen to. Käärijä is everything I love about Finland and I hope he does really really well, even if he doesn't win!
