I love this program so much. Thanks for it! Its great to have on while I draw. I can peek up to see the page turn, and then get back to the board and just listen for a bit. You guys are the best. Great job!!!

I'm writing this from the future, but everyone who comments on your videos being great to just listen to while drawing, I've been seasoning a mortar and pestle while watching. Your content is great for even those of us who haven't drawn in years.

I really loved the Swamp Thing issue in Gotham when he climbs a skyscraper like King Kong. I remember I did a fan drawing of that, which got published in an old issue of Amazing Heroes.

COPS was so good...the cartoon and the DC comic. I was a big fan back in the day. I distinctly remember buying the first issue at the gas station down the road from my house.

That Robin series was all over back then...and I constantly found it in cheap boxes for years to come. Good series, but it was definitely everywhere.

Barb Rausch was the artist on many of those Barbie comics. She was also an assistant to Mike Vosburg (Tales from the Crypt TV show covers) and Arn Saba (Neil the Horse). Her own work was very unique (See Vicki Valentine) from Renegade Press which shows off an extension of her Katy Keene fandom.

I saw the New Warriors and X-Force as two sides of the same coin. Loved both book for different reasons. Fabian also wrote the Nomad comic in the 90s, and man, I LOVED that book as a kid.

Batman's Cape is what started my liking for Batman. Everybody had a square or rectangle cape while Batman's cape has a lot of curves. I have been falling away from superhero comics, I still love seeing images of Batman. He is fun to draw.

Cartoonist Kayfabe: The ad you mentioned early on (talking about being able to buy multiple issues, pre-bagged, etc.) was from THE SPIDER'S WEB, a local comic shop in Puyallup that was run by Todd McFarlane's brother-in-law. I frequented there and met Todd on several occassions. You may have heard that they sold signed versions of SPIDER-MAN number 1, but stamped the back of the issue as a kind of certificate of authenticity. The owner was more into hockey and other sports cards, but really capitalized on his connection to Todd. :)

I can't confirm it, but I'd bet money that the company that made the Jack Kirby pins was run by Larry Marder of Beanworld fame.

It's funny, cause over the years, I've had a few dozen people ask me how much their comic collection would be worth, if I would be interested in it, etc. And with the exception of maybe one or two people, ALL of them have tons of copies of early Image and Valiant stuff with all the foil covers and stuff. There will be some random X-Men, Spider-Man, and Death/Rebirth of Superman books in there, but otherwise, it's all stuff I can easily find for 50 cents or less at conventions/shops.

Batman is the only decent DC character. All the other DC stable are just continually ruined. SO many could be dope as fuck, but DC makes the weirdest decisions
