May Episode 9 save Star Wars!

Episodes 7 and 8 shouldn't have been so bad that Star Wars needs "saving". Let this sequel trilogy burn, I say! Star Wars shouldn't be this easy to tank, Disney deserves a hard lesson here. Also, why bring this up on THIS video?

I wa smuted where your original comment was. Why should TROS flop and SW die as a result? ROTS would have had that same level of targeting had the internet existed back during thenPT.

@@achaudhari101 Well, I certainly haven't been muting anyone, so I take it this is bleeding over from activity on some unrelated channel. If Star Wars dies, the blame won't be at the feet of Ep9 alone, and likewise it is a bit much to heap its entire salvation on it alone. A lot of incredibly short-sighted, entirely avoidable actions led us down this path, and accountability should be made clear. At this point, many of us see Disney's Star Wars as a lost cause, and having Ep9 spectacularly fail would put our grievances into sharp relief. So--most--hopes about this movie failing actually come from a perspective of love for the good Star Wars of old; for a return to escapism from the current-real-world and just good ol' adventure-telling. (And so as not to entirely ignore whatever point you were making with that last sentence: The internet DID widely exist during the ENTIRE prequel trilogy... The Ep1 trailer [then available, to much chagrin, only in the quicktime format] nearly brought the entire, though comparatively nascent, interwebs to its knees.)

But why have 9 fail to “Save” Star Wars when that will kill it faster? Yes I know TLJ fucked a lot of things up for Star Wars but that doesn’t mean Star Wars itself can’t try to win the fandom back again. I’m talking about KZbin.
