It works like this: Each one likes a different thing, so one likes healing, one likes damage to all, one likes blading, etc. Each time it lowers the backlash. It starts at 30, so if you use the thing it likes, it goes down to 20, then 10. At the end of that turn, he deals damage to you based on the backlash number. Also, each time you do what he likes, you get a bonus. The dark fiend likes it when you attack. If you wait a turn to boost up (not if you pass) he will add backlash to you. Nova likes blades, I believe if you trap, he'll add backlash to you. Hope I helped. Also tell your death friend to get the level 100 shadow boosted spell. It's OP, 5 pips, 1 shadow pip, deals about 1000 to all enemies and heals you that much. My favorite animation in the game it is SO cool. Any chance you could friend me on W101? I have a level 72 Ice/Fire combo, really good about 4200 health. I also have a 73 life. Thanks!

Dark Shepard didnt put the blade on you because you healed. It did it because it was supposed to. the second round it will attack no matter what you do. It has things that it likes and dislikes but nothing will force it to do something like blade or hit.

If u check the card of the spell u will see the sighs like heart on the card when blaze lookt at it he casted healing and then he got a shadow blade

You should fight random creatures in Khrysalis to see how many shadow pips you can get in that one battle and try to stay alive!

Spell cards that come from your pet defy all cheats and don't count towards reducing or adding any backlash in shadow magic.

Wow, the spell-animation are awesome and i love the spells, but it seems like it takes A LOT of time before you can get two shadow pips. At that time, you'd probably be dead. I also think that it shoud be like presentage or gear that gives you more chance of getting Shadow pips... Love the spells though :P:):D

The best part about spells like crow is that you get all your health back pretty much, and backlash ruins that. Plus it takes forever to get 2 shadow pips.

Shadowe Litvin don't know but think shift moon can? but cost lot pips (don't last long one in celestia polymorph (none of them are free) only 1 shadow magic for free & new global spell for free old global spell & new global (now new effect) (not be like we have now in live realms with old global spell & (old global spell going be different now! (not same thing now) now better sound (not bright as one in live realms) both global spell be different now with new effect easy tell by ice look like this old global spell like one is now I live realms (gone chance there effect) (tell blue & blaze) doo there old global spell & there new global spell but both chance

They are very worth it. I use Dark Shepherd a lot when I solo, as it allows be to build up a big heal while saving pips for my attacks. Balance gets a bit more out of these, IMO, since they can use their blades to boost them.
