The biggest question for many, many people in Wizard101, is where and when, to find the best drop rate, for whatever item they are looking for at the time. What many don't understand, is the reasoning and methods behind it. Lets expose some facts behind the scenes, and talk about it....

I can confirm that the lore master drop rates have changed when I was playing like 2 Year’s ago I got a lot of spells I’ll tell you what I collected:Ninja Pigs, Keeper, winter moon, krampus, Deer Knight, now I haven’t got a single thing

Actually that's not why, they lower the drop rate so that we spend money on packs instead of farming the instances over and over

I got krampus and savage paw in less than 25 battles with the loremaster these holidays.Just my experience with farming the last few days

I was kinda annoyed because I fought her once during the holidays and got krampus. I was so excited but then I was told krampus drops like crazy around christmas so that explains that.

Snaziko Yeah I made a new ice about one month ago and when holidays came close I got krampus. I averaged 60 runs per spell, now I'm on a drought and I'm around 340 runs. So miserable lol

I don't know if the drop rates for code wands were increased for the recent fishing member benefit because I never tried to get them before hand. But all I did was have wiz with the sound on so I could listen to the bobber in one ear while I watched netflix in the other. 2 days of 10 hour sessions later and I finally got all the wands, with some duplicates. 69 codfathers, 194 soul searchers, and 1391 pacuman, I got 109 chests, and 13 of them had code wands, the rest were decorations and zafaria staffs, with 2 pets as well. I'm never fishing again :)

I’ve been coming across this a lot lately, recently with fishing for shining scales and silver chests for shocked keys. So much easier for the first character but it has taken me 3x as long to get not even half of the materials. This is extremely infuriating. Thx for the vid!

lol last 3 days did 500 lore runs no drops so that's cool thx kingisle for taking the fun out of the game though I will say that after my 5000-5500 runs this month I have gotten 10 spells but not the one I need so that's also cool

I did twenty fights got a ice spell and Im balance, the next day I played literally almost every hour and got nothing

I got Catalan on my storm on the second try one day. All the days before that:nothing.

When they did the 50% percent off packs I got the pigsie spell from the wysteria lore pack faster too

I absolutely saved all the best balance gear when I started my death wiz. I picked up so much it was ridiculous. So if you are gonna make a balance wiz, Start with your death wiz and he will pick up all of it for your balance wiz.

Ok let me say something. To the people who are level 60 and above that bitch about not getting their spell from Loremaster. Crafting takes only like a day or two, and learning a spell is like weeks! And you may not even get the spell you want

It helps if your backpack and bank is full. That way, the only things you're getting are card items.

i have farmed the first 2 bosses of the secret tunnel around 400x now, some of the runs on death, others on storm. i tend to get more cabalist gear on death than storm, but that is probably a coincidence. i doubt that farming off school matters. i have gotten 5x death hat, 3x myth hat, 1x balance hat, 1x ice hat, 4x life hat, and 3x fire hat. i have also gotten every pair of cabalist boots. is there any reason that i still do not have the storm hat? is there anything i can do to just get the hat already? at this point i would not mind doing medulla and spamming his chest to get the hat, but we all know that even then, i wouldnt get the storm hat. i have never had such bad luck with any drop in the game. the second worst luck i have had was the death rat amulet, took about 60 tries, and it is meant to be more rare than the cabalist gear.

Is it true that mirage drops more couch potatoes than grizzleheim??? Everyone seems to say that but in your other video you said that the drop rates are the same everywhere. I ported to a friend in mirage to farm potatoes and I got four in less than an hour, but then the next time I went there, I don't know how Long I was on there I didn't get any. I'm so confused. Although I've only farmed there twice because I'm still questing in Polaris.

It SEEMS better in Mirage, and def in Empyrea, but I think long term study is needed

Skelemystyk wait so in another video of yours, can’t remember which one, you said couch potatoes drop a lot in empyrea. Actually I think it was the gardening vs farming video. And then in another video you said the drop rate has gone down significantly over the years. I was wondering do you think the drop rate in empyrea will go down and if so can you guess how long it might take??? I am still in Polaris. And I’m afraid that by the time I get to empyrea the drop rate will go down.

It will remain to be seen, but a lot of drop rates are reduced soon after being introduced. Loremaster is a Prime example, and so are the Code wands in Elephant Graveyard

I have found that when something comes out you better try for it in a couple of days or before they do an "update" and c ange the drop rates or you may try forever to get what you want.
