@konliber that's exactly what I was speculating upon! They set it up from the very beginning that if they're ever gonna end (or have to end) W101, they'd let you face Ambrose as your last worthy opponent, only for you to become headmaster of Ravenwood!

i noticed it !!! as balance wiz i saw it straight away lol. wasnt all that surprised by it though i knew if he was shielding all he would shield balance too and i think ive seen one before

Maybe kingsile is planning to bring a balance shield in the game that at a certain level you can get as a balance wizard. It would be one of those side card quests that you have the option to get.

KI outdone themselves with empyrea2. it was BEAUTIFUL! the dream world and ravenwood was sooo mystical! Reverie felt so awesome as a name because it reminded me of one piece reverie arc. Empyrea2 was WORTH THE WAIT!

no, the council of light is fine with the arcanum, this seems to be some sort of shadow realm since shadow twists things. The enemy is/was the cabal

lots of quality in the battles and writing, but not so much in the reuse of old assets yet again, probably even more than before. there is nothing else that's new and the new spells are obviously low effort - using already existing assets, and clearly unfinished sounds and animations.

I forgot to mention that I watched the entirety of tara's live stream, and saw old cob exposed, as well as interactions between Raven and Spider. My comment about how they could top it off is a question directed at the spoiler wall towards the end of test realm. Just really curious how they're planning to finish third arc (my bet is that Spider and Raven make amends, seeing that KI has plans for a 4th story arc, and if either Raven or Spider is defeated, the Spiral will be no more).

test realm doesn't change the fact that they still reuse many assets and the spells are low effort. at least before, we got new spells that were actually finished. these aren't finished at all and are terrible.

It seems to me like Empyrea part 2 has been like a testing field for KI adding new mechanics for battles, new and improved cutscenes, i think that some sort of challenge mode could be added to the game such as "Defeat certain enemy or boss with specific spells or health points" or maybe elite level dungeons (Not talking about exalted challenges" to make an example Malistaire's dungeon but enemies are stronger and the final battle has changed something like how it was when the game was first released or Big Ben but clockworks somehow modifies the clock in the top floor and depending on the position different effects are present in the battlefield, seeing how they are improving the game a lot of cool stuff can be done.

Archangel, you can see how much damage you're doing with the ring of color around the enemy's feet. 8400 damage takes about 3/4 of his health according to that.
