You can't even buy that many Crowns at once without getting flagged for "suspicious activity" by their system. There are 8 classes, each with a different main storyline. The only paid things is gear, lootboxes, good-looking mounts and the DLC quest lines. It's ridiculous how overly monetized Wizard101 is.

It’s because it’s a marketing calibration test to see how much the whale players will pay, and how to set their future event caps. If you remember the previous scooter was roughly 700$ in crowns. Now this one is roughly 300$. So why the shift why not just redo the past event? Because almost no one made it to the top. The cap for this one is very familiar to me as I noted with my friends that the most valuable item on the list was the farming bonus Elixir. This elixir would be very valuable as it is a very sought after benefit that you could now pop at any time to maximize farmining gains and it’s a rare benefit. It makes sense to me that they made this events cap the tier the elixir was previously at as it was probably the highest paid tier the whales mostly stopped at. Understand that there is a method to what they are doing here. They are testing the player base to see what players are willing to pay for and how much they are willing to pay for it. They don’t expect people to reach the end they are using this as a test. DO NOT BUY INTO THIS EVENT unless you want the potential of other events going up because buying into this event gives their marketing team information on how to abuse the player base further.

There is a total of 1,519 main quest in Wizard101 as of this comment being posted, of them only 22 are free to play. If you ask me thats pathedic and the entirity of Wizard City should be free, even then thats just 39 main quests you can do. Ps, the second fastest main world in the game is Marleybone with just 50 main quests.

10:08 you can buy the first 5 worlds (wizard city, krokotopia, marleybone, mooshu, dragonspyre) AND grizzleheim + wintertusk for 60 thousand crowns (which you can buy for 60 dollars during certain promotional events). the following worlds are cheaper and more consistently priced and also cost around 60 thousand crowns per arc (celestia -> azteca, khrysalis -> empyrea) IIRC. i bought the first 5 worlds permanently a while back since i mostly play for nostalgia

To put this into perspective, a game like destiny, (the first game) which is a triple A title costs less over the 3 years it ran for than this "free game" does. Wizard201 has lootboxes just like destiny did but also has henchman that you can buy to help solo content easier if you wanted to, houses, companions, mounts to increase your speed, and elixirs for various buffs. If they're gonna go through with this then the story paywall needs to be removed. There is no reason to ask for a subscription then ask for an extra $300 for an event that's only a week long at most.

I did the math about a month ago and I believe the total amount of crowns for buying every area with crowns is roughly 180,000 crowns Assuming you buy your crowns on sale, you spend $60 / 60,000 crowns = $240 This crowns spending event is ridiculous; if they're going to do it they need to make the MAX like $60 of crowns (60,000) because that is somewhat realistic for most people who play this game (considering they're younger and may not have much money)

Blaze might actually be joking throughout this but this is actual far from a joke, KI are money hungry giants banking on children to spend this much on their micro transactions. This is meant to be a children’s game, along with a FREE-TO-PLAY game. Disappointed in them.

You know how this could actually be feasible? If members got monthly crowns. ESO does it - you get all dlc and areas unlocked, loads of benefits, member exclusive cosmetics and crowns. That's the only way I could imagine this being acceptable, but even then, the price is ridiculous. Should be 100$ and waaaay more benefits (like throw in a castle, mega snacks, etc.).

Lmao this is why I left the US server for the UK. The UK is superior in every way except a smaller player base. We have 20+ bundles that never get removed compared to the US where they only have 4 at any given time and even REMOVE them.. Come to the UK guys! The cash grab is way less intense and you can even speak freely without worrying about mutes and bans!
