Is confirmed by the producer of tje show that they wrote de stevie alex story in a romantic way but disney censored that. So is canon the alex x stevie in a way.

It's confirmed Stevie was meant to be Alex's girlfriend for awhile but they were never endgame. They always knew who Alex would end up with (the person she ends up with in the series finale), but Disney said no

It’s good that Disney said no they can not be a couple, not every character in a show has to be gay kinda sick of it to be honest so at least they didn’t ruin this show with woke
