Okay time to play Cards Against Humanity!! Everyone's got there fedoras on? Oh you didn't bring a fedora? Here, you can borrow my spare! Okay now we decide who goes first. The games rules are very clear. Who ever has done a number 2, the most recently, goes first! Hilarious! Well... I went 10 minutes ago before we started! HAHA! So I guess that means I get to go fir- oh... you went 5 minutes ago? Right after me? That's what you were doing in there? But... but remember right before you stepped in the bathroom I asked "Are you gonna do a number 2" and you said "Uh that's kind of inappropriate" and I said "Just tell me or I won't let you play game night" and you said "Okay fine, I guess I'm just gonna pee, why do you care so much" and after that conversion... you went in there... and BROKE your word? Hmmm... I guess you go first then... it's only fair and square... EXCEPT it wasn't fair that you LIED to me, and since I don't play games with LIARS, game night is CANCELLED! Everyone get out of my STUDIO APARTMENT now!!!

Either way this game has always immediately felt like this even if the answers are "funny" when all the answers are "funny" none of them are. Its just a social lubricant game that shouldn't be repeated with the same people more than once unless you are maybe on drugs.

@@bossmusic6969 You're absolutely valid to feel that way! Personally I disagree just because the people I've played it with were genuinely hilarious people. We've had some answers that really were funny, but they're amplified by our inside jokes and the context of the stories we tell each other. I had a buddy who is Jewish and she would always answer questions with "The Jews" any time she got that card, and it was always funny because she knew just when to use it. It's not that she ever made a big fuss about being Jewish, that's why it was always so funny. Her nonchalant attitude added to the card choice. The game isn't fun with strangers or acquaintances, and especially not more than once with such people--that much is true. But if you play that game with people who truly understand each other, it can be a great way to pass the time. And maybe you just don't like the base game, which is fine! They have a lot of alternate card packs that spice up the game in a way that caters more to your sense of humor, and that's just as valid of a way to play the game. If, perhaps, the game isn't as enjoyable because you or the people you play with aren't the best at vulgar humor, then you might really enjoy Apples to Apples. It's the friendly predecessor to CAH, and somehow its vanilla humor really adds to how funny it is. Sometimes you just need a good dose of vanilla humor! Anyway, sorry you've never had as great of an experience with CAH. I swear it's fun with the right friend group, but maybe your "right" friend group isn't the same as mine, and that's okay. The game isn't for everyone. There are other games to play with pals, and if y'all have found your groove with something else, then all that matters is that you're happy hanging out with your buds :)

Yes we all know the cliché "explaining the joke ruins it", but unfortunately, a lot of people are thick (in the head I mean), and the joke genuinely HAS to be explained to them. Because if it's not "haha peepee poopoo fuckity fuck fuck shit kill murder suicide", then there's a good chance the people you play with won't like it. Don't blame me for that. Blame the general degeneracy of a generation brought up to think everything is taboo, and therefore everything is crass. And therefore everything is funny. And unfortunately, jokes that are more clever don't belong to that particular category.
