WizWheelz in Oz-A Visit to Greenspeed

Greenspeed Trikes is now a part of the WizWheelz (TerraTrike) family. We head down to Melbourne, Australia to join Marshall and Mark as they survey what it is that Wizwheelz has purchased and try to learn everything they can of the legacy left behind by Ian Sims. We learn about how and when WizWheelz plans to market Greenspeed trikes and if any changes are to be made to the line. There is an encounter with Ben Goodall of Trisled and we get to meet Ian's wife Ching and the current Greenspeed team of Steven and Wendy. Then we are treated to a close look at some of the tools and equipment in the shop that Ian designed and used. Finally Marshall takes us on a tour of the entire facility showing us some of the unique items from the 30 year recumbent history of Ian Sims including 80 tooth chain rings.

My wife and I ride a GS GTT tandem. Since she wanted IPS I asked Ian Sims for help. He sold me the mechanical parts that he had modified himself that made the modification possible. He also told me a way to add a drag brake on the rear wheel. Having met him when he toured the States I can say I miss him: the originator. I am hopeful that Wizwheelz will continue his work.

I didn't know that Ian Sims had passed away. Very sorry to hear that. I have been a customer since 1991 here in Adelaide. Ian gave me so much personal time, it was unique in my experience. I want the Greenspeed name to continue -- for Ian.

Kudos for doing this Gary, it needed to be done. Hopefully now everybody will see Greenspeed is in good hands. But OTOH it was sad to watch. Having had so much contact with Ian over the years, like many others I'll miss that. Regarding all the parts, I have a spread sheet of GS parts, it's unreal what's there.
