I played human wizard and for final boss fight brought 6 cockatrices and 3 vampires, which I dominated before, and I only managed to inflict 2 hits to each of twins, before they were killed by my army, but I took my sweet time clearing each dungeon of course.

Oh yeah dominate is pretty OP if used well. 3 cocks and you win the game by standing AFK and there are MANY MANY more you can dominate on the way! Its true.

How did you have mana for that? I never tried with the birds but on powerful enemies doesnt it drain all ur mana bar?

@@vasconcelossentimentoMy mana was replenishing, so I couldn't tell, and basiclly I just hoarded monsters into a starting level room, until I thought I had enough. I just lowered enemy hp to the near death, and it was enought to barely use mana, and it is better that way, because you can just heal whole pack later.

Just as Arsonoakwood said. The mana you need to dominate somebody depends on their current health +21mp (the cost for casting the spell) so if somebody had 1hp left you'd use 22mp, if they had 100hp you'd use 121mp. Then its just a matter of letting them heal up, either with magic, potions or naturally.

from about 2:37:52, why did you change the fireball -> forcebolt ?? and why forcebolt not consuming MP?? i'm a beginner of this game

Welcome to the community! I changed it because it used no mp, making it my primary dps spell. Its a slight loss of raw damage, but makes up for it by having unlimited casts. The reason it doesnt use mana is because i reached 100 in casting. The legendary effect you gain is "Learn to cast forcbolt using 0mp" :) hope this answers your questions!

I played the game today with my friend and I noticed something weird... I used human wizard on the run, and randomly my fireball skill just disappeared from my hotbar and from my spells (when I tab and press B (the spell menu) I can see all my spells but the fireball one..) So Im wondering because this happened when I learned a new skill so maybe that spellbook that I learned my new spell from was cursed and deleted my fireball spell? This happened today twice btw because I played healer (in human race) and my instant +10hp spell just did the same thing... just disappeared.... this is so annoying and I don't know why is it happening. Should I keep the spellbooks in my inventory in case this would happen again? (I always drop my books after I learned the skill)

Hahaha oh noo! I can feel your pain! yes, chances are you accidentally or without knowing tried to learn a spell from a cursed book. Instead of adding a spell you will forget one. (Unless you are a succubus / incubus) So its generally recommended to fully appraise spellbooks and ignoring cursed ones. Unless you want to uncurse them for later. Holding onto the books can actually be a good thing, because you'll do bonus damage / healing if you cast from one instead of using the learned spell. But this will eventually destroy the books. As for the "in case of" moments. I don't think its a solution to hold onto your initial books. This might sound bad but I mean it in a good way. If you read a cursed book. You should suffer for it. So that you'll remember not to do it again in the future. Kinda like equiping a cursed item you know. I've had this happen to myself many times :) Its those little moments that stick with you and make this game so memorable I think! Thank you for the comment and the question. i can´t seem to find the "town" :( do i have to unlock it somehow?

If you mean mine town in the very early levels, it usually generates on floor 3. There is no unlocking it, just has a random chance to generate or not. So I guess you've been getting unlucky or might be avoiding it thinking its the gnomish mines. But yeah floor 3 is fine :) take that exit to enter mine town!

Sorry Gedeab, I can't say exactly why things are different. I'd imagine I carry around less weight than you do. This will slow your character down. I could also have just gotten better strength and dex rolls than you did. It could also just seem that way due to my POV being higher. This could potentially also explain the longer range.
