to explain the confusion with the number of members: they debuted with 12 members, but in Secret era Yeonjung was added (she was in I.O.I at the time) so they were a 13 member group for a while, and then the chinese girls left (in 2018) and WJSN stayed as 10. sorry if this was confusing lol

Yeah, the 3 Chinese members “left” much sooner than the contract ending. They were essentially shipped back to China to promote and make money there and were on “hiatus” from the group until they officially left. It’s unfortunate because it seemed like the Chinese girls wanted to be included but their Chinese label had different plans. WJSN, EXID and (og) HelloVenus are the reason why I never trust labels that create their groups by collaborating with another label. One label will always mess it up for everyone by pulling their girls.

YOU BETTER PREACH! I can't stand Starship for how they have treated them overall. Just another example of a company that doesn't have any idea of how to manage 2 girl groups at the same time. When iVE is finished doing a comeback, they could have WJSN have a comeback, but I guess that's too much like right for them. WJSN should be having AT LEAST 1-2 comebacks a year. That's the least Starship can do since a majority of them stayed with the company. I can't believe it's been almost 2 years since this bop of a song. I miss them so much.

Yeonjung was added during their first comeback Secret after she was on produce101 and made it into I.O.I ! The Chinese members went on to do their own acitivites in 2018 (Xuan yi and Mei qi were on produce camp china and Cheng Xiao went on to do variety and acting stufff) and were initially just going to be temporarily gone but ended up just fully promoting in china until their contracts ended. Personally I suggest reacting to Secret (their first comeback and kind of formed their identity musically and stylistically), Save me save you (somewhat darker vibes still having their signature magical sound), Butterfly (fun magical summer song and my personal favorite), and As You Wish (basically the anthem for new years)

it's a crime that up until now wjsn is still underrated, they have so many songs that are considered hidden gems especially their bsides and most of it are written and composed by EXY, dare i say wjsn's lead vocalists can easily pass as a main vocalist in other groups tbh 🫳🏼 btw, Last Sequence is written by EXY and another lyricist. @24:16 is my ult bias Bona (Kim Jiyeon)

WJSN has not returned for almost two years because StarShip has a problem with resource allocation. They gave all their resources to IVE! (Personal feeling) YeonJung, SooBin and EunHa(VIVIZ) performed IU's "Hold My Hand" in Queendom 2 which was very nice! I highly recommend you give it a listen! 🎉

I think generally speaking the operable word to describe WJSN is underrated. They really should've been much bigger then they got given their talent and discography. Pretty much everything about the group is underrated....Exy is a drastically underrated rapper, Seola SHOULD be mentioned as a top visual alongside the likes of Jisoo or Irene but isn't, Yeonjung actually might not be underrated...she usually is listed when talking about top powerhouse vocalists in kpop, Yeoreum is a really underrated main dancer. Their discography is just jam packed with incredible songs that just never got the airplay or views that other groups got during the same time. The only member really who isn't underrated is probably Bona bc she got MASSIVELY popular after acting in 25 21 with Kim Tae Hee

wjsn chocome is honestly my favourite wjsn subunit! they're a very cutesy concept which i usually don't love but they do it so well. would recommend checking out a song from them!

It's crazy that they won Queendom 2, more than doubled their sales for their next release - which was only a mini album, not even an LP - and then just...haven't released anything else. Granted, they had their impending renewal, but that happened more than a year ago. Some of the girls are truly busy with radio/talk shows, variety, musicals and acting, but their music is just too good.

Unfortunately I fear that Last Sequence might(?) be WJSN’s last song. Their company is much more focused on IVE now. WJSN’s main dancer, Yeoreum, even went on Queendom Puzzle to continue her dream of performing (since WJSN hadn’t been active recently). She made the final line up and debuted in a group called EL7Z UP. But unfortunately, that group has been inactive as well. :/

Not sure if you did it on purpose, but you basically bookended their MVs, the first two were debut, and the last two, were the last two that they have released. Last year they re-signed with Starship, but we haven't seen them comeback as a group since Last Sequence was released. They won Queendom 2, but Starship basically didn't do anything to capitalize on that, Last Sequence took a while to come out after Queendom 2, and it was barely a mini album. The cute subunit Chocome has released two songs, the sexy subunit The Black, has only released one, and they NEED to comeback again! You are definitely missing a lot of their best songs, but I'm guessing you will be getting to them. WJSN should have been much more popular, but Starship really hasn't been the best to them, not the worst by far (I'm looking at you Cube, and Pledis). They have so much talent, and great music in the group, their songs have been fairly popular in Korea from what I understand, but they never reached the heights that the could have.
