I was there for every show. How lucky was I. 1976, Grand Opening of the Aladdin Theater For The Performing Arts. My dearest favorite performer. Saw him 14 times live. I am one lucky Georgia Peach.

@@donaldcook3112 hi, I saw him the first time in Atlanta Georgia at the Fax Theater. And then The Omni in Atlanta. I saw him during his 50th Anniversary Tour in Atlanta. I’ve seen him a total of 14 times all in Atlanta except for the Aladdin. I never saw him at the Greek, much to my chagrin. I wanted to go but it just didn’t work out . I was listening to some of his music just last night on Utube. Rosemary’s Wine being one of them and Play Me.

This super-slow rendition of STONES is pretty awesome! In some ways I like it even more than the regular version. It’s close, but it’s always nice to have differently portrayed versions of established songs. It keeps it exciting and fresh for fans as well as the musicians playing the music. This “Stones” is particularly slow, and the percussion stands out well.. it has more time to breathe. It’s slower and heavier sounding than the Hot August Night version And that’s what that song seems like to me.. spoken breaths, soft and deliberate both: the yodel at the end (I think it’s actually a falsetto riff) is VERY Cool, too!! Thanks for posting this kick-a** bootleg!! I’m Sure it is on the Neil Diamond collectors “must have” list of Diamond recordings. At least in The Bootlegs Section for sure!

@@wk19781 Oh, man, evidently I typed the comment after it bounced over to a different video. Unlike The Last Picasso, too. Serenade is a very smooth and well produced album with some great songs on there. That whole era was his best. Sorry about the mix up. I was listening to Seattle 1972: Stones. It’s a really good audience recording from about a month before Hot August Night was recorded. The set list is a little bit different and sone songs are played a little bit different Stones and Canta Libre are slower than usual: Anyway, thanks for letting me know I left my comment at the wrong place.
