Dominique Hullum, 31, learned his fate Monday at a sentencing for multiple charges connected to a Starbucks robbery that happened earlier this year in North Olmsted.
Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge Shannon Gallagher sentenced Hullum to serve 18-20 years for his crimes.
It was back on March 21 when Hullum entered a Starbucks near Lorain and Dover Center roads where the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office says “he verbally threatened customers and employees with a gun, stole money from the cash registers and then fled the scene.”

The officer is a wonderful man. He knows a person has to forgive and can’t have hate in their heart because hate is what stems all evil. Jesus says, if a person has hates another, they’ve already committed murder in their heart. Praise God no one was killed here, it really is a miracle. I truly do believe this young man is remorseful. One of the few, for sure.

Sorry Grandma but police are not mental health counselors. They have more than enough to do trying to keep the peace. Whoever raised this guy, that was their job to guide and nurture him through life. If that falls on you, then he’s your problem to deal with. Personally, I don’t care that he’s schizophrenic and a drug addict. He needs to pay for crimes committed. If he gets rehabilitated, consider it a bonus. Lock him up so he can’t hurt anyone else.

The words, charm and charisma of this judge make look this sentence a hard one, but think about it, this scumbag has been in jail before and nothing has changed, shooting police officers means he is a cold blood murderer. As soon as he´s out of prison will seek revenge and probably this time some innocent will die. He belongs to a cage.

I just bet that when this event took place, all anyone screamed about was "gun control, gun control, gun control". When are the people that are SUPPOSED to be representing us in Washington going to get it through their thick skulls that we have a SERIOUS mental health crisis in this country? NONE of this needed to happen, if this man had been able to get the help he needed. I don't agree with the woman that stood up for this man (grandmother?), though. It's not up to the police to stand back and call in the social workers when someone is SHOOTING AT THEM. This dude is just LUCKY he isn't dead. But I digress... the point here is, this man needed QUALITY mental health care BEFORE it got to this point.

When did mental health issues get so rampant? When I was in high school everyone with a pickup truck had a rifle on the back of their rear window. We had Not One School Shooting. Not one. People are not taking responsibility for themselves or their loved ones with mental health issues. Grandma and family knew he had issues and are now begging the Court to take the responsibility for them.

I want to share this just to get it off my mind I'm sure no one cares but anyway. I was in rite aid yesterday and I was at the register and a man walked in and dress really nice and wanted to use restroom she said restrooms are closed so he walked out and I watched him and he walked across the street towards taco, my plan was to go to taco Bell to get my taco Bell crispy taco fix. So I checked out across the street went into taco Bell gave my ordersat down and the man that wanted to use the restroom at rite aid came out of the restroom at taco Bell. I mean he looked at me you know when someone looks at you anyway he went stood looked at the menu fidgeted awhile walked up I don't know what he ordered if anything and I believe he was thinking about robbing the place or me I really do he looked back at me a couple times probably because he seen me at rite aid and and I knew a little bit about him like you were just at rite aid asking to use the bathroom , OKAY. I'm suspicious and skeptical by nature but I believe my instincts. God is Good nothin happened
