Those electronics are gonna be HOT with those tires 😅 Try some 1.5 wheels!

Pretty cool!!!! Man I kept waiting for curb to eat both rigs!!!! I tried out my Betty yesterday afternoon. I am not sure about others but I turned off the blue tooth on my phone so I could watch KZbin while I messed around and it drive great. I will try it again today to test it out again.

A little tip that works for me on transmitter range. Take the top of the radio apart, the handle. You can unclip the wire and the metal pc on the antenna, its long enough to poke out the top then just put the cover back on. Uncle Bill’s tip-o-the day 😁👍🏼👊🏼

I bought a second car and tried this tip on the transmitter. Took it apart but there was no antenna wire. It works fine but no wire to run out the the top. Hit or miss I suppose

Range still sucked for me when I did this tbh. I ended up just going the brushless, esc, transmitter route.

Remember the old Blue and red Tyco from the 90s that when it would flip over to the other side/ color? Take that spoiler off and you could use it upside down 😂lol great video

Lol yeah I had one of those, I think it was called a “sidewinder” or something like that and your right the purple WL buggy would totally work upside down without the wing and those big tires lol

I would've liked to see top speed with those smaller tires. And the battery thing doesn't make sense. 144001 comes with a 1500 or 1800mah battery stock vs 2200 mah in the purple one. The purple one should have the bigger battery as an upgrade, along with a few other things on it that were upgraded from the 144001 buggy. You can also buy a 3000mah battery upgrade for the purple buggy. It's a factory upgrade battery and it's blue and marked just like the ones they come with. Mine seems to be quite a bit faster than yours, also. But I've noticed that there's quite a range of speeds from the different channels that have tested theirs. Some. Reach 40+ mph on a 2s battery and some only reach 30s. Thr purple one would be expected to be faster since it's the version 2.0 of that 144001. It came out 2nd, with upgrades that fixed weak points in the 144001. My purple one is a but faster than the other one. Even though it's bigger. Because it was made to be faster.

Lol. love the bigfoot. Can the buggies handle 4s

No I think 2S is their limit, anything more and the esc starts to over heat and shut down

are you in Skagit? i am in east Skagit i just bought the 124019
@michaeljnewton3 жыл бұрын
I ran some cheap 3.8 x 1.6 inch crawler tires on my 124019 today and the motor is toast lol I think it was a combination of getting really hot and the motor wires rubbing against the drive shaft that caused them to arc. It’s okay though cause I had already ordered parts to go brushless and I’m waiting on a 124017 so we’ll see how it likes the bigger tires. I may re-gear the 124019 and run tires that allow it to drive upside down

Do they have the same gears in them? If the bigger one is geared higher that'll make it go faster
@UpperLeftRC3 жыл бұрын
To my knowledge they are exactly the same in every way except the length of the vehicle /chassis, I will check when I tear them down to install the metal parts on one of them though 👍🏻

I’m not sure what that means? I think you were asking about one of my neighbors trucks in his driveway maybe? And I don’t know what company it is but it might be Jada... not sure I never really looked at it

Those big tires are going to tax the stock motor and ESC, keep an eye on temps before you fry them.
@UpperLeftRC3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I took them off after this video lol the motor and ESC where scorching hot so I won’t be doing that again with the stock stuff 👍🏻

Why did you not test the offroad tires offroad 😑
@UpperLeftRC3 жыл бұрын
The motor on these little WL cars has basically no torque, with those big tires it can’t actually go off road, on the flat pavement it can roll around and get up to a decent speed but it would just stall out if I drove it in dirt

@@UpperLeftRC it might also have to much grease in it so that the grease is holding down one side of the axle and is letting the other spin if it is an open diff
@@UpperLeftRC Check the spider gears for shims, they forget to shim some of the spider gears....poor quality control. Or possibly over-tightened wheels on the plastic wheel hex. Metal wheel hexes are better.
