@@PERTHWESTOZRC I always like the attitude of if it's 10-15k/k shy of its top speed with the provided 2S battery, the manufacturer "must" mean you need a 3S to achieve its claimed top speed therefore if the motor burns up on 3S hitting those speeds then its the manufacturs fault for claiming those speeds only achievable on 3S 😂😂😂😂😂

Nice video mate :-) Regarding the antenna hack, it is already in an almost vertical position in the handle and remember that plastic is invisible to 2.4GHz radio waves, so it is like there is no plastic. I don't think it makes a big difference. If it were placed horizontally in the transmitter from the factory and you changed it to vertical, then yes you would see the difference. But as I said, the antenna is already almost verical in the handle. The most important thing for maximum range is to position BOTH the transmitter antenna and the car antenna as vertically as possible, so they will be omnidirectional and not depending on where they are pointing at. Its helped me get better range on other RC's in the past on drones etc when antennas are tucked well inside the tx 👍 have a good weekend mate

Hi Jessica, I was going to try 3s on it the other day but I been hearing this esc is the same as the series 3 esc as that of the 144001 that is being produced now and apparently they pop as soon as you connect a 3s to them. As far as the diffs they are the exact same as the 144001

PERTH WEST OZ RC I was trying to find out some more info on this version of the ESC. I recently ordered the 144001 and received it a couple of weeks ago. It came with the same ESC which is branded with a XK 60amp silver label. I had not seen this ESC on any previous videos of the 144001 but I have seen it on the newly released 124019. I’m going to wait and let someone else try to cook it with a 3s before I do. ;)

Do you have the plastic chassis, because the complaint from Tomley RC is that the links in the driveshaft of the 104002 pops out very easily if the chassis flexes just a little bit ...

Some advice for all 144 and 124 owners: - Check diffs and put differential grease in them - Refill shocks with 1000cps (60 weight shock oil). I used Traxxas brand - Buy 2 spare diffs (trust me, you wanna do this) -Buy metal wheel nuts -Buy offroad tires from aliexpress for more grip (they cost about $10 for a set) A CHEAP 2600mAh battery will run for about 5~8 minutes. An A brand 5000-5500mAh battery will run for about 25~30 minutes. Also, if you currently own a 144001, you can convert it to a 124019 once the spare chassis, center driveshaft and chassis bridge go online ;) Have fun!

Heyyyyyy.. my 9125 just arrived and now there is this haha. 9125 goes great on grass for my needs. But with this new model, how would you compare it on grass. I'm thinking of getting the 124018 version. Looks rougher and tougher. But the wheels don't look as big as the 9125.

Remove the screws on the little grab handle on the side of the remote and the antenna is hidden in there, then just extend the wire and expose it and screw the plastic handle back on. Make a small groove in the plastic so the wire doesn't get crushed

It does help, I've done it on other models of wltoys beforehand and it has increased range a little bit
