Thank you for sharing your story. From someone who also struggles with weight loss I have thought about surgery because nothing else has worked. I’m still very hesitant and trying to find what will work for me. So I look forward to watching your journey and giving me hope.

Love the thought you took in your space and background! Not a family of bigums 😂😂!! Now I don’t struggle with weight loss but do with weight gain. I’ve always been smaller than a toothpick, my GMA would say, but being in a place where I’m happy with the healthy version of myself has been a journey as well. Proud of you!P.S. Your humor around a sensitive subject is great, thank you for sharing 🙏🏾

Tamika thank you ☺️ I am learning to consider the journey to strive for optimum health and the weight loss being a by product of my efforts. I am sure it would be difficult to gain because the body hold extreme spectrums for gaining and losing! I greatly appreciate your support 🤗

I understand the frustration surrounding weight loss decisions. It takes a while sometimes to figure out what works best for you. I’ll be sure to do my research if I ever decide to go the surgery route!

With so much more access to information and ability to hear personal experiences it will definitely help you in your decision but just know weight loss no matter the pathway is a never ending journey! Just have to keep reminding yourself that it’s important and it’s your health that should always come first!

I'm so glad I've been a part of your journey...from P90x in your living room to dance programs and walking at a local recreation center. I want that dream fix for you just as much as I want it for myself. I wish it was out there. I don't understand why some people seem to magically figure it out, and the rest of us constantly struggle with it. You're doing all the "right" things. *hugs*. I contemplated surgery; my neighbor just got back from Mexico. My endocrinologist wants me to try Zepbound first based on my family history of inability to lose weight, diabetes, and heart failure. However, like the band was for you, there are no long-term studies yet. Positive things have come from it, though.

Hey Nicole, It has been a journey, hasn't it lol One thing is for sure and that is we are warriors that have not given up on ourselves. Some thing gotta give right? But I've learned to strive for progress, not perfection and be consistent because eventually the results will show it! If you decide to try Zepbound let me know... I can't lie I've considered it too, but I want lasting results. I will have to do more research and speak with my doctor to determine if that is an option for me. However, as for now I will continue to track my food, drink plenty of water, and workout! Keep pushing ;)

I totally understand. While I didn't have weight loss surgery, I had three surgeries that were related to a herniated belly button... what a nightmare. I had looked at the lap band, but now I am using the glp1 drug Zepbound and I have lost 40lbs since August.

I hope you were able to get some relief with your hernias! Zepbound actually has my interest but with shortages and cost I am discouraged! Kudos on losing 40 pounds! That’s amazing!
