WLToys 104001 LC Racing 10B5 Comparison - Will LC Racing Parts Fit 104001?

The driveshafts from the associated b64 fit the 104001. Just figured I'd let everyone know they've got the option, cuz I'm running them in mine since I popped a shaft in a crash. Get the full front cva kit, and the lockable hex nuts too if you can.. they make tire changes even easier.

You know if you can use the b64 center driveshafts on it too? Like if they will fit in the drive cups of the the 104001.

I have 2 of these...one is stock an one i put in a twin tazer 2s system... both work well... I also did grease up gear box an both front an rear diffs!

Great channel. PS hope to see you at RC Madness sometime. One interesting point for both of these vehicles is that they are clones of the XRay XB4 2018 if you want really high quality parts for the WLToys

For like 1/3 of the price of course it isn't great in comparison. But for the money it's a really good option for either a spare car, to mess around or to get in to the hobby. I absolutely love mine and trying to get it to 90mph ATM.

The spur gear is sprung weight What is the difference between sprung and unsprung weight? In simple terms, a vehicle's sprung weight is supported by springs of one kind of or another (coiled springs, air springs, Belleville springs). ... So unsprung weight includes the wheels, tires, brake assemblies, differential, solid drive axles, hub motors, and anything directly connected to the wheels is unsprung mass.

Great comparison! It's not clear if the LC slipper actually fits with the driveshafts installed in the car. Can you confirm mechanically there are no issues? I've heard the cups on the slipper aren't long and large enough to accommodate the WLTOYS driveshaft ends. It would require completely upgrading to the LC drivetrain

It will fit. You MAY need to drill out the holes to move the mounts SLIGHTLY but that could just be my model. All of the bearing sizes are exactly the same throughout the vehicle. You can check the LC website for spur prices. I’m guessing the slipper and center diff models may be different prices

The WLtoys 104001 and 104002 are, except for maybe one or two parts, identical to the XRay XB4 RC Buggy. There is a video out on it.

if you can find someone with an xray xb4. try to see if some of its parts fit. they are really close in terms of design

I forgot about this comment, the arms is actually a direct fit. I have the xb4 and it was nice to know since it cost $11 for just ONE arm for the xray compared to just $7 for Two arms. Xray parts is no better than lcracing. Cool thing to note is that you can turn this into a mini truggy using xray xt4 arms. And drive shaft and longer linkage. You basically convert this car to xt4

wltoys is a copy of other manufacturers that been said it doesn't mean is bad , its actually the opposite of that , while other companies can and will charge you upwards of $600 hard earned macaroonies and even a thousand and more for other brands , it goes to show you sometimes that the quality isn't determined by the price, when it comes to china rc copys wltoys have perfected the art of making cheap rc that can and will hold up to even expensier counterparts.

Excellent video, because after 3 years of 104001 and also 104002, it is difficult to get some parts. I think you were missing something that is important... The steering of the wltoys is very soft and it seems that the parts of the LC10B5 are identical.

I hope! The pinion is bigger than most blx cars allow (29 vs 20) but the spur gear in this is also bigger (90something vs 57). We’ll see if it beats the Arrma top speed of 50mph
