wltoys 284010 Aluminum Diffs Upgrade Wider Steering & Some Drifties

In this video i install some upgraded aluminum diffs on the wltoys 284010 and make the steering wider. Also it finally Drifts!!!

i'm curious if it can be upgraded to rwd, i'm considering buying it instead of the k989 but am afraid it can't or have difficulty upgrading to rwd because the differential has smaller bearings than the k989. Can you try to upgrade and share with me?

Nice one. I am also in the process of doing the same upgrade on my 284161 😂 Btw, Have you tested your 010 if it has the same issues I found on mine? I would love to know. If that is the case that it is just mine. I will return it and get a new one. Let me know if you found something interesting or odd

Thanks for watching :) and i saw your message yesterday so i played with my car a bit today trying to see if it has the same issue as yours and as far as i can tell it does not, the power seems pretty steady wherever i am on the throttle going in a straight line or while turning so your issue could be the esc/reciever combo or there could be gears binding or something else creating extra friction when you get on the throttle. im not realy sure what is the actual cause of the issue, i hope you get it figured out though.

is it always locked or can it work as a diff too?

i have it setup so that its always locked but you can adjust the nut on the diffs to make it more like a lsd or an open diff, you just have to tighten or loosen the nut on the diff to set it the way you want it

yah lol, i ran it for a bit then noticed it was wearing the aluminum so i did open it up and put grease inside after. learning as i go. that video will be coming soon :) thanks for mentioning it though :) i wasnt sure if it needed it but now i know. good looking out and thanks for watching i appreciate it
