Compared to the team associated this is decent as that is £350 and under the licensed body it's a £50 brushed RC which is a fairer comparison than the infraction in my opinion

I've put on 124019 white road tires (65mm) on my WLTOTS 104072 truck for better handling from AliExpress for 10.00 GBP plus a centre 3mm brace kit, Flysky transmittedr/ receiver with more control options, new 65mm oil shocks all round,, disconnected the lights and added extrs fan on the motor, next stage is to re-paint the body shell to white with black trim details , speed is still the same but now my custom WLTOTS 104072 not a factory box art. Finally re enforced the body sheii after its new paint job.

I agree with everything you said regarding this car. Its far to busy shell, that weird front grill and the led's. A 2 colour paint job, ditch the grill, and just have light buckets in the lexan or redesign it, and a simple led set, like the Pinecone SG cars. And possibly a 36** sized brushless motor? Can't wait to see what you put in it!! 😎👍🏻

Those lights would drive me crazy. But mainly the turn signals. We turn these things left and right so much that it just looks silly lol. Agree on the colors. It’s just too chaotic. The lines are good though. Nice stance etc. For folks that really like lights and aren’t into wrenching and upgrading and all that - this is a good one. I do wish all RC came with front and rear LED of some sort. So so cheap for them to add and so enjoyable. For those that don’t like they can be unplugged.

One thing I noticed is parts cost of wltoys is significantly cheaper than other brands. My Arrma costs significantly more to fix anything. Also because they share parts with other wltoys models you can fix things a lot cheaper than other brands if you have an ecosystem of wltoys at home.

Ordered one over the weekend. It was a bit pricey but... just wanted to add to my wltoys collection lol I buy these cars over other name brands because they're so fun to modify especially for speed runs. You crash and write it off, it's not an arm and a leg to replace it. Thanks for the video! Fyi, it's 104072 not 104027. 😬

I think it's a cool attempt but the infraction mega for $40 more just kind bodybags the wltoys, it's fairly slow on the brushed systen but the arrma is stupid durable, looks great, and is very easy to upgrade, I have a 4000kv spektrum system in mine and it's awesome!

Another great review. You made up my mind. I will not be adding this to my Wltoys collection. Problem 1: Too much money. Problem 2, 3, 4, etc.: Horrible graphics; Over done circus light show with no conrtol; No gyro option; Same crappy transmitter, etc. Even though I'm not a big Horizon Hobby fan, the ARRMA has it all over this model for a few dollars more.

I find it kind of weird that this street basher at 60kph is slower than the 12th and 14th scale off road models which are advertised at 75kph. Yes I know they don't quite go the advertised speeds but they're not to far off and I'd have thought that they would have made the on road car quicker

think its due to them using the same limiting electronics.. well ESC at least to save money. Recycling components they already have. This could have been a weapon out the box with some higher powered electronics! The smaller models weight less compared to this being 1/10 so that's also a reason its slower I guess..

I paid £125 for a wltoys 124017v2 with two batteries ,so it's £60 cheaper and faster than this on road car which should have been faster really .Where is the extra money going ? They are recycling parts like you say but for the extra money we should be getting a bigger motor and esc. The big appeal of wltoys is the fact you get performance that usually costs about 3 times the price,the 12th and 14th scale cars have been so popular, they are great for beginners and a great value platform to work on for speed runs etc If they are going to start charging a lot more ( yes I know everything is more expensive and has gone up but these are still a lot more than their other cars which have also gone up ) then they really need to show us where the money has gone. Wltoys for around the £100 mark were fantastic but wltoys around the £200 mark is a different story,they're not the best obviously but you can't deny the great value for money they are .The company has built a loyal customer base on the principle of giving great performance for the price charged. 40 mph for £100 odd just can't be beaten but for nearly double the cost they need to be giving us a lot more as people will start to think "£180 for wltoys, I can spend another £50 and get a much better made car,a lot more choice to be had,but at the lower price point it was a no brainer, they owned that lower price point,easily the best cars for the price they had no comparison but at £180 they're not a no brainer anymore

Another great video mate ,I like it a lot but I would like it more if it was £150 ,it's like WLTOYS almost get the body shells right then they go too far add too many colours and graphics, I'm surprised you found time when it wasn't raining to film , I think it looks quite promising overall.CHEERS MATE.

Cheers mate! £150 would be the ideal price for this I think! Great platform to upgrade but at £180 odd RTR I think its a little too expensive. I agree they have just gone a little too far! one step back would have been perfect! This video has taken 3 days to get done due to the weather! got there in the end!

I’ve heard mixed reviews on this one, not sure is worth the price, for now decided to go with a scratched and dent Mega Infraction from Tower Hobbies (I think it was $180) and converted to brushless, which I think is a better choice if you live in US. Not hating on WLTOYS, but I’m a still bitter after getting the V1 version on the 1/12 and having the issues solved on the V2…

I have always been against the v2's after all the issues. Never supported the v2 as v1 owners like yourself suffered. yes they corrected the faults but completely disregarded v1 owners. They should have offered the upgrades for free and not $50 as far as I remember. Terrible quality control and customer service by them. Things have improved since though.

Ah I did the same thing! I got a scratch and dent as well and did the brushless upgrade, the car came in with no damage whatsover, so not sure what the "scratch and dent" was. But it was a great deal, they don't come around often.

Estimated shipping takes between 1.5 and 2.5 months. Paying full price in front and waiting 2 months to get it is not worth even 100$. On top of that I paid 159$ for infraction mega on scratch and dent sale, got is in 2 days instead of 2 months

I think it’s very overhated, yes it’s expensive but I think it performs pretty well on 3s. It might be a better investment to save up a little bit more for an arrma 3s. I think people are gonna put really fast motors in this and make it really fast.

I was big fan of wltoys, but they don't learn on they own mistakes... This is third toy with this same problematic rod's ( 104001, 104002 ,pop out very easily) this car is this same... For that price You can get car with more quality ( zd racing)... Any way, great video.

I don't think the price point on Wltoys match the quality. I got one Wltoys 124017 and four Arrma cars(Two Typhons and two Big Rocks) . If i had to pick, Arrma wins easily because these cars can really take a beating and are more fun to drive, they are also more versatile. To me Wltoys T-bones flies off the car way to easy and things tend to bend too easy, you also need to re-center very often and Wltoys are not fun to fix and work on while the Arrmas fixing and upgrading them is actually half the fun.

Its ok. Body is pretty fragile. The lights are pretty wack. I absolutely hate the hardware. The controller is a bit janky. The price isn't that great. Which is my main complaint. I mean that was the whole point of buying anything WLToys in the first place. Much rather have the Infraction and just upgrade it later with brushless.
