Nice flying Adam. I see some time has gone by since your post. Any regrets on the 913? I started off with a 911 a couple years ago and loved it. Got a 2nd 911 and it was no good out of the box as the tail motor had a mind of its own, and got two more replacements until I was satisfied. WL toys seems to be a bit inconsistent on their QC. I got a 913 a few weeks ago but returned it. It had a bad vibration which made it un-flyable. Still trying to decide if I want to get another one. Its definitely a different animal than the 911 but thats part of the fun... learning and adapting.

was it at a stable hover out of the box? or did you have to adjust with remote/servos?

Nice! Looks just slightly bigger than those Chinese Killer Hornets! :)

not sure if you will still answer my question after 2 years of this video, but I've ordered this for 11 years old kid for the Christmas, he wanted Drone but I didn't really have money to buy 1000 dollars drone for him, so I bought this, we are living out in rural area so we do have a lot of spaces, but he has never flown anything like this before, do you think he can fly this without wrecking it? ..
@ParanoimiaUK8 жыл бұрын
+skuirpy scuirpy As long as he takes it easy and treats it with respect, I think he should do fine. It's quite heavy and could do a lot of damage to whatever it hits, so just make sure he's aware of that before he starts.

Hey I'm not sure if you will answer back, but I have been having a lot of problems trimming this helicopter. Does it never hover in place for you or were you able to trim it out?
@ParanoimiaUK8 жыл бұрын
I had to trim it a little, and it still has a very slight drift to the left, but it's generally pretty stable.

Nice helo but which helo would you prefer the new F49 or the V913? Thankyou for your help
@ParanoimiaUK10 жыл бұрын
I've had no issues with the V913, so I can recommend it. I've not tried the F49, but from what I've read, it sounds like a slightly better constructed model. I guess it really depends on what you want to do with it. If you want to just take it out of the box and fly, the V913 should be fine. If you want to install mods etc., the F49 may be the better option.

Approximately what's the flight time on a full charge?
@ParanoimiaUK9 жыл бұрын
Alex B About 8 to 10 minutes, depending on conditions and how aggressively you fly.
@lakeconstance7810 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the Video. How much lifting capacity does the helicopter have approximately? Thanks for your help.
@ParanoimiaUK10 жыл бұрын
Not really sure what the lift capacity is, but it probably wouldn't lift enough to be useful. The model itself weighs a fair bit. That said, I have fitted a mini HD camera to it, as you can see in one of my other videos: WLtoys V913 with 808 #16 V2 Lens D camera That hasn't noticeably affected the battery/flight time or handling.
@GiveWayMotovlog9 жыл бұрын
Adam W I think it can lift a small tiny camera.
@ParanoimiaUK9 жыл бұрын
GiveWay Motovlog Indeed it can. If you click 'Read more' in my previous comment, you'll see I've fitted one to it. ;-)

Oi,alguém sabe se posso usar outra bateria que dura mais tempo no meu v913 e qual o modelo por favor?
@mikesecondo22545 жыл бұрын
Like the brand says -toys....not a bad heli for the backyard for sure.....however toy grade...rear rotor motor does not last.
@ParanoimiaUK5 жыл бұрын
Well, we all have to start somewhere. And it's still going strong 5 years later, so it seems to last just fine to me.

What are youre thoughts on the v913 now that you've had it awhile? Is it responsive or docile? etc.
@ParanoimiaUK10 жыл бұрын
I've found it to be quite responsive so far, using the higher rate servo setting on the controller. You can make it even more responsive by moving the servo rods to the outer holes on the rotor head, but I've read that this can lead to mechanical failure, particularly on a standard, unmodified model.

Hey Brother, I have a doubt, between V913 and Quad Helicopter Syma x5C. What's the best?
@ParanoimiaUK10 жыл бұрын
If I'm being honest, I have no idea as I've had no experience of the X5C. But going by the price and this review... Syma - X5C Explorers - Review and Flight (Indoors and Outdoors) ...I'd say you're better off going with the V913, as it has more weight, and flies better in wind, giving you a more stable platform to film from. The camera on the X5C also doesn't sound that good, whereas you can fit an 808 #16 (or later) HD camera to the V913 as I have done: WLtoys V913 with 808 #16 V2 Lens D camera But it really depends on exactly what you want to do with it, and how much you want to spend.

Im new to this and have never flown an RC heli before, would you recommend this for a beginner?
@ParanoimiaUK8 жыл бұрын
While it is fairly easy to fly, I wouldn't recommend it as a first heli unless you have lots of space in which to practice, such as a public field, relatively empty park, or large garden. That's simply due to its size and weight; if you get it wrong, you WILL damage something or someone, and possibly the heli itself... though it is quite tough. I'd recommend one of the smaller models, such as the 3-channel infrared Syma models, which are pretty cheap, just to get a feel for it. If you want to go straight to a 4-channel model, try the V911 first - you can use that inside or out, and it's small and light enough not to damage itself (or anyone or anything) too badly when you screw up. And you will screw up, at least once! :-)

Adam Wright the v911 is definitely lighter, cheaper and easier to find parts when i screw it up but i find it pretty small, im a shortsighted person and i want something big enough to see where it is and which direction it's flying lol, i'll mostly flight indoor and in my garden (only about 100 meter square), i think i'll go for the 911 first to practice and get the feel of it, just hovering around gently like a real helicopter and then move on to a bigger model, anyway thank you for your advise

Will it do invert?
@ParanoimiaUK10 жыл бұрын
No, not this one. It's a fixed-pitch heli, incapable of inverted flight. For that you'd need something like the V933: www.google.com/search?q=wltoys+v933

I just received the V913 and the manual is horrible...can anyone tell me the proper battery charging steps......thanks
@ParanoimiaUK7 жыл бұрын
Plug the charger into the mains and the red light will come on. Connect the battery to the charger and the green light will come on. When charging is complete (around two-and-a-half to three hours), the green light will go off.
@garyvale83477 жыл бұрын
ok, got it...can I cause any damage to the battery by accidentally leaving it on the charger overnight?......any other helpful tips before my first flight with the V913, as I only have sim ( Real Flight 7.5 ) experience .....thanks much....
@ParanoimiaUK7 жыл бұрын
You should always take care when charging the battery, as it is Lithium Polymer and carries certain risks. I would strongly advise against leaving it unattended while charging, and certainly wouldn't leave it on overnight. Have a read of the tips at the link below, and Google "lipo battery safety" for more info. thedronegirl.com/2015/02/07/lipo-battery/ Regarding flying - just take it easy, and make sure you have plenty of space until you get used to the response of the helicopter. Before I started, I found a lot of helpful information and advice here: www.rchelicopterfun.com/

Sorry these WL Helicopters REALLY SUCK!!! The first week I was just hovering about 4ft in the air and tail started to spin like crazy and had to send it back bad tail motor. Then the board went out on me. so I ordered another board put it in and now the tail of the heli only spins only one direction. Very nice looking and size but a piece of CRAP!!!
@ParanoimiaUK10 жыл бұрын
There do seem to be some bad batches. If you have a look at the relevant posts on my website (paranoimia.co.uk/tag/V913), you'll see that I had two of them delivered which were completely unusable due to damaged controllers. But I persevered and got one which works perfectly. I've crashed it a few times and there's not a scratch on it, and it still works fine. You do need to keep in mind that these are essentially cheap(ish) Chinese knock-offs of models made by better known, more expensive brands. That said, they fly really well (when you get one that works), and are great fun.

***** When buying these cheapies l wont buy online, it is so much a hassle if it didnt work. Bought it from the shop asked the guy to test fly it. lf it works then l ll get that machine. Btw V912 is a hell of great machine.

***** Old news now, but after changing another board again and another rear motor its been working fine. But I did order 5 rear motors. At the time that was the first Heli I ever own
@magdieljuma9 жыл бұрын
Jamarr Lagrone You need to let the tail motor cool after a flight(even if you have another battery, will need about 30mins. for cooling before another flight)
