Like a genuine F1 tunnel they are designed to turn to the left. if you hook to the right the water will just pour into the self righting slots. maybe it blows past the deck seal and gets in after enough water gets in the LH sponson?
@rccrazy Жыл бұрын
Possibly, I did test it with all the slots for the self righting taped up aswell but it didn't help and I had no self righting😅

Nice video! I have udi001 rc boat. And had same problem. Water flow in. But for the up cover. I just close with type and problem solve. Where flow water your boat? For up cover or for the propeller hold????
@rccrazy3 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate👍 I don't think mine let's water in through the cooling inlet but not 100% sure. Water definitely gets in through the cover. I think the foam is not thick enough.

@@rccrazy sure is for the cover. Have easy solution. Your boat is stock bruslessh????? Also stock battery is 3s????
@rccrazy3 жыл бұрын
Everything is stock brushless and 3s yes. I will fix the issues and maybe upgrade the motor and esc one day🤷♂️

Do U have to Greece the shaft on these??
@rccrazy2 жыл бұрын
Not too often, maybe after every few runs. You just don't want it to start rusting so your better to check every now and again anyway.

I see what you mean now, pity about it filling with water so fast and it cavitating on turns, i been looking at this boat for ages to think about buying
@rccrazy3 жыл бұрын
Yeah its a little strange but I may be able to make it a bit better, got a few but not sure mods I will try🤞

my stupid boat lets water through the top cover .. When the ship hits the waves, the pressure raises the lid, a vacuum is created that sucks in water ... How to make a better seal ??
@rccrazy3 жыл бұрын
Yeah these boats fill up with water in no time. I haven't found a solution yet, sticky tape doesn't really work because of the lip at the nose but it helps for the top parts of the lid.

Also got one but WL 915a and its also really good (:

Yes same boat, this is the 915a

Good video. Not a bad looking boat, but it's not good if it's going to keep filling up with water.
@rccrazy3 жыл бұрын
Exactly👌 it looks good and it goes well until it's too full and then it gets extremely unstable😑 I think it's just the foam around the canopy lip, I need to find some thicker but softer foam type material I think.
@timallen60353 жыл бұрын
@@rccrazy or maybe some tape to seal it on with like some boats used to use.
@rccrazy3 жыл бұрын
I am going to try that but the canopy is a bit strange, I could tape the top and back but the front would be hard to seal up because of a lip that drops between the two hulls, I'm sceptical but can't hurt to try😁 Cheers mate👌

Hey man got my offroad ftx outlaw, motor was locked up and needs a good service and I stuck my old shit ebay esc and hobbywings brushless motor and I think its esc time, what are your recommendations on budget friendly 60 amp and up mark for esc and is a 4000kv motor too high for a 1 10 offroad big wheel bugy?
@rccrazy3 жыл бұрын
Hey mate✌ 4000kv will be ok if only on 2s lipo, I use 4300kv 2s and my go to ESC on my HSP Breaker 1/10 (semi big wheels) Personally I try not to recommend extreme budget ESCs, motor are ok but ESCs should be quality for your own benefit, sorry😕 But in saying that hobbywing aren't to pricy depending on your definition of budget😄 But my go to 4s ESC is only about $100aus, the Hobbywing WP-SC8 120A. There are some lower Amp ones that are ok but these are extremely good ESCs👌

@@rccrazy awesome cheers mate I was looking into an hobywings 2s esc to keep battery weight down haha a little top heavy in this rig
@rccrazy3 жыл бұрын
Not a problem👍 Yeah I think I have 2 cars that run 2s but both run the WP-SC8, they are very light weight and small for a 4s esc. Well worth it👌
