Dr. Gordon H. Clark was one of the founders of the Evangelical Theological Society. ETS. It was meant to be open to attract more members. Clark himself was a strict subscriptionist to the Westminster Confession of Faith.

@@wordmagazine oops. 😄 Actually, I'm not certain you said that, rather it may have been my oversight, and i did not remember you mentioned that the lectures will be recorded (or "taped")... so "taped" was *my* word... I think i'm older... 1963 model. 🤭

Not sure if I can attend due to my work. I am retiring in October. I consider myself something like a fundamentalist Presbyterian. I'm probably even more conservative on some issues than most of your members. I do not accept common grace or the well meant offer or even the free offer of the Gospel. I do subscribe fully to the Westminster Standards and the Three Forms of Unity. I also have been persuaded that eclectic textual criticism undermines the doctrine of biblical inerrancy. My preferred translations of the Bible are the KJV 1900 or the NKJV. Gordon Clark was a supporter of Westminster Theological Seminary PA. He originally supported the old school Princeton Seminary by way of his father, David Clark. Clark originally supported B.B. Warfield's views on textual criticism. Eventually he saw the logical problems of textual critism and wrote an article critiquing it. Because of Clark's critique, I have been very interested in your point of view of providential preservation of the TR. Clark was strong on predestination and providence.

I have also read Clark's "Logical Criticism of Textual Criticism." It provides some very insightful critiques of the modern text method from a philosophical perspective.

I'm interested. I do have an M.Div. But I'm not in the ministry, and the only academic work I've done is blogging.
