We love Barmouth and are planning this walk in a couple of weeks! We did a bit of the coast path the other week - Talacre - the first beach on the path when you’re coming from the Dee estuary. We love the coast path. Thanks for sharing 🍻

Hi, thanks for your comment. I have now started walking the Coast Path from Chester with my Son. I loved the Talacre stretch. We have got as far as Colwyn Bay. Hope to get another bit done this weekend. Let us know how you get on.

@@WebbysWalks wow well done. We started about 7 years ago and have got as far as Llandudno!!! We started at the back of Chester football club. One day we’ll carry on! I think our favourite bit was the beach walk beyond Talacre. We look forward to following your journey (probably a much more successful one than ours!!) x

@@PostcardAndAPint The plan was to get to Llandudno by the end of the year. Hope to do that next so will set a new challenge to try and get to Bangor or Menai Bridge.

At 13.40 on the video you show a view SW towards Fairborne. We passed that way in February 1993. Nearly 30 years ago the building by the big rock then had a roof on it! All the best, Peter.

Thank you Peter, and thanks for sending the photograph. It was a great walk, really really windy. So bad I have had to cut most of the sound and add sound effects of the sea. All the best, Andy.

The Rock at 13:40 visible from the road. Driving to Fairbourne for summer holidays, when I saw that I knew we were almost there.

Thank you for watching, it was the first time I had seen it close up. Crossed the bridge a couple of times before but always turned back before the end. All the best, Webby 👍

Just found this vid, it's Grand, (it's a fair way down from Anglesey, but hey, it's still Brill!) just wanted to tell you, you must have thought it very awkward, coming from the town and onto the viaduct, narrow paths, you had no traffic! it's far worse in summer? it's a problem, but it has been sorted, at least in the design stage, no idea who, has designed a path going off to the right as you go over the "bridge proper" goes under the the viaduct (there are large gaps) then across the seawall into town direct, (you can sea the seawall at 6:10 on your vid) easy path bridge to town no probs, but that was 10 years ago, the council will not pay for it?.

Thank you, Bryn. This was one of my earlier videos. We walked this before we started any of the coast path videos. We headed up unplanned and had to hurry as a storm was coming in. It was like a trial run. We have walked across to Fairbourne a few times and always thought it was a shame there was not a better path as like you say in summer it can be a nightmare trying to cross. The wind was very loud and annoying on the video, so I added a few sound effects in places. Thank you for watching, 👍🏻 All the best, Andy

Hi. When was this filmed? I believe the bridge is closed at the moment.

I'm still walking the coast path. I do it as day trips. Started in Chester and have so far got to Holyhead, I wish I could get back there every week but costs and time. I hope to be back soon to walk and film another section. The Barmouth bit was done first before I started doing it in order.
