I've always loved this kind of country! It's traditional, but there's also a smooth contemporary feel to it. It reminds me of the smooth, classy country from both the late 70s/early 80s and the late 90s/early 2000s. I can imagine this song being on the radio during either of those periods. Much better than what's mostly on the radio now! I absolutely love the video, too, and the grey, overcast city location was such a perfect fit for the smooth contemporary style of the song and sad lyrics. One of the best videos I've seen in a good while! Btw, I love your outfits in this video, especially the black hat! Your style reminds me of how country singers used to dress more often in the 90s and early 2000s, which is a good thing to me.
