Here's my top pick for battle cars (I'm a regional semi finalist btw) 5th: Mazda RX-8 STUPID of a car in the game. It's supposed to be light but god damn this thing is heavy as hell and a great blocker despite of it's looks. Has the speed to outrun anything, even the fastest R35 GTR Spec-V on any map except Nagoya and Wangan while still have the space to nudge thru gaps and runs like a maniac. Sad thing is it has a pretty weak boost recovery where if you smash into a truck, it doesn't retain speed much. 4th: R34 - An overall balanced car. Can block, can run, very high speed and acceptable movement. More used in Singapore (my region) as an all-rounder and it works well on any map if you're a good of a driver. With a proper bodykit and wheels, it becomes a real Godzilla which can do all sorts of shit just in one single game. Might be lacking on Hakone due to weight but still not bad. 3rd: Evo 9/8 - Superb fast cars. 9 has a higher top speed than the Evo 8 but have a heavier chassis than the 8 while 8 is more nimble than the 9. This two are good cars to use if you have scouted how your opponents play and if they're blockers, pick the 9 and if they're running, pick 8 as it's easy to attack corners with the 8 rather than the 9 due to it's lower top speed. The only problem you'll see on the 8 rather than the 9 is boost build. Somehow on the 8 in 5DX+, the boost seems to build up waaay slower than 3DX+, 4, 5 & 5DX so just a caution there but still, a great car to use. 2nd: FD3S RX-7 (My personal fave) - Excellent car to use. Slippery enough to slip off attacks, good for running and great in corners. This car is practically god in the game. It revs like nothing and the boost build is fast for chases and extreme velocity at corner exits thus this is why it's great for time attack battles plus it can block pretty well believe it or not. However, it has a low top speed against cars like the Evos and Skylines but in other maps except Nagoya and Wangan, it dominates and chops on everything. It's best map would have to be C1, Yaesu, Fukuoka, Osaka, Kobe, Hakone and Yokohama where big sweeping and tight corners becomes it's advantage. Just remember never to pick this on Wangan or Nagoya. 1st: R32 - Now THIS! This is where it's at. This car is a great for everything. Corner, blocking (Best so far) and also running. In Malaysia, you can see almost everyone using this because of it's weight. It's soo heavy that it can block almost everything in game (Except Hiace, of course...) but still nimble enough to wriggle out of trouble if the player messes up a block. It has a slower speed than the R34 but only by 1-2kph so it makes close to 0 difference. The ace in it's sleeve for this car vs the R34 is it's gears. With a 5 speed, driver gain more control over it and it builds boost waaay faster than the R34 despite popular belief. However, the R32 doesn't like Hakone too much and likes to drift extremely wide and that could be due to weight but if you're used to it and could control it, it's pretty much fine. Overall, a perfect car for all situations. Dark Horses (Cars that are actually good for battle that no one knows): SW20 MR2 - No one and I mean NO ONE even thought of this car but this car is actually excellent in one job and one job alone, running. This car has the status of the FD3S in running that it boast very fast boost build, very small body, very nimble, excellent in corners and has a relatively top speed that could rival an Evo or sometimes, weirdly, a R34. I did not even believe the power of this car till I saw my leader drove it and smashed everyone that challenged him when we're out for fun and I even had one myself currently now at B9 class. This thing is amazing in almost all maps except Wangan but here's the problem... It can't take shunts. Due to it's lightweight structure and body size, it can dodge and grind past a blocker but to fully act as a blockade, it can't and it can't push anyone out of the road too due to it's weight so if you're getting blocked by something like a R34, pray VERY hard it's a corner and the blocker messes up which gives you space to cross or else you're fucked. That's why despite being very OP, it's not on the list and seldom people play this car despite it's prowess.

The RX-8 somehow lost it's charm in Singapore here too. It's odd. It used to be everywhere when 3DX+ was around but now, everywhere you go, it's the "no-skill" R34, R32, Evo trash, RX-7s and an odd ball of Lamborghinis (I don't know why but...) or Savanna RX-3s. RX-8 to me was a good machine that was solid in early 4 but once 5 hits, no one ever drives it anymore and it somehow boggles me.

Evo.Is.Trash. There. I said it. That being said, I'm saying it not because it is really trash but it's the mentality these players have every time they're in an Evo, especially 9. They think that they're god in their Evos and taunt people like nothing while at the same time sucking at doing anything with their amazing machine be it run, corner and lord heavens above forbid, block. You're given one of the best machine in the world and what did you do? Smash into a lorry or even worse, smash straight into a wall at the 1st corner in Osaka? I've met players that are good with their Evo 9s and play real well but really... Half or dare I even say 3/4 of these plebs are trash. If the Evo isn't as powerful as the stats I mentioned, I would not have even put it on the list due to these shitty ass cunts I see every week.

You did not read what I typed. There are people that have class and dignity but 3/4 of the Evo 9 drivers in our region are utter scums who think they're absolute masters. Every time they lose, they pull all the excuses out of their arse and sometimes even challenge people to a fist fight and that only happens to Evo 9 drivers. Not 8, not 6, not 3, only 9. It's a sort of "small dick" syndrome I would call it. I own a 8, FD3S, MR2, R32, Soarer, Hiace, 2000GT, AE86, NA1 NSX and a few others I forgot but still, every time I see a Evo 9 driver that's real good, I salute them but most of the time I see be it in Malaysia or my home country Singapore, they're utter scums. Even my time playing in Hong Kong wasn't pleasant with the Evo 9 drivers there.

I have mained the EVO IX for 3 years now. And let me tell.you. best decision. Even though it loses a lot of speed in corners that boost makes up for it especially if you shift at THE EXACT TIME the boost kicks in like a rocket you can catch up from a 500m disavantage in around 3km if you concentrate much. It can block fd and skylines but the underside is its heavier a bit than an r32? But it makes up

As I have both lambos, aventador is a good car for fast - paced courses (fukuoka, yokohama) for top speed, handling and acceleration countach is OP in time trials... one of the best handling cars

OCM is a competition of the best of the best players in Wangan. OCM gives limited edition nameplates with various designs like what you see on this video. Players in Top 100 of OCM will receive special gold plates which you can see at Akuma's RX-7 shown in the video. And the fact that OCM hasnt appeared after its last international server OCM which was way back at Wangan 5 (May 2016) made players impatient or caused some hearsay that someone maked NAMCO to stop launching OCM at international server. (Sry for my bad english, im not very fluent. im just trying to answer ur question XD)

The RX8 (For Me) Is well enough without aero sets. I use a normal wing and it's been winning me matches. I don't main the RX8 as it's more of my backup. The RX8 with Aero set F makes the car slippery. If you want to use it, my suggestion is that you don't use any wind and trunk lids

Tbh I was a little surprised by the rx7 being ranked higher than the rx8 and was kind of expecting the 110s instead of the rx7. this is because I think that the 110s can both run and block compared the the rx7 being more of a runner., though it is capable of being used for blocking, its sheer lightweight does not make it suitable to higher level blocking as you said the 3 higher cars would be more chosen for that level gameplay. another point is the wall penalties which I believe you said it was for another video, but nontheless the wall penalty for the rx7 is terrible lol takes forever to get back up to speed again and takes a while for catchup. I am an rx7 main myself and in a game of players with very similar skill level the rx7 against the other cars including the 110s would put it at a slight disadvantage, but by all means a pretty good running car despite the better pickup by the other cars

As for the cars, So far r32 and evo9 reign supreme. Im not saying you can 100% win with them, but they are above average cars. I cant wait what cars will rise in 6. ✌✌

Hey Shazlan - The JZA80 Supra is not a great pick for tournament use, unfortunately tournaments favour cars with better handling, and the Supra suffers from poor handling and high speed loss. Your always going to play from behind, and the opportunities are few and far in between.

Z34 is a Thiccccccc chick that needs some love, u cant take her to the gym or to the trampoline cafes because she's not even gunna get through the door and lets be honest - she'll just sit at the cafe and eat cake all day. The GDBF is a mixed bag of lackluster performance coupled with moments of extreme amazement. It's a good car, just outclassed by some cars (maybe 10 cars out of the 60 or so in the game).

That NA1 NSX is a great car - probably just shy of being top tier tournament car though. It could be considered a good alternative to the bandwagon cars, but it has no dress up ZZZZZZZZ. Get it if you like the car, however there are better non-bandwagon cars out there No idea about the NC1 NSX though (im not even sure about the code, but the new NSX).

As someone who owned one in real life - it does well to portray its IRL counterpart. It's very good in corners, but lacks the Accel and Top speed to really do much. Great car for casual play though!

i feel so out of the network. I have played Midnight Tune since ancient times, back in the 3dx. I believe it was 6-7 years ago, but notonly until now that i did find out cars have its own differences in this game? i thought all was the same. And i was so happy that my trusted old companion since ancient age was actually one of the best cars in game (Rx-8) I absolutely loves the style of the car and yes i agree that it is underated, for its amazing overall i barely saw anyone that uses this car.
